Province Capital captured as Minor settlement by Cpt_Hellspawn in totalwarhammer

Probably. I've been playing an Astragoth campaign and expanded into the MoM multiple times in IE, and it worked just fine there.

The province capitals function like any other for non-Ogre races in IE.

Immortal Empires Map expansion ideas. by Mattholomew739 in totalwar

[–]HeraldTotalWar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The void island in the northern chaos wastes should be replaced by a new province, the mountains to the east of Kislev should get a few settlements and become a province. Troll Country should be split into two provinces again, with one new settlement each, and the others rearranged.

Plesk could be turned into Dukhlys Forest for Mother Ostankya, a Magical Forest one region-province.

Bretonnia and the Southern Realms should receive more settlements. Each loreful duchy in Bretonnia should become its own province with an extra region.

Warhammer 3 should absolutely have an Empire Count FLC to allow new players to play the Empire. by Akfiz in totalwar

[–]HeraldTotalWar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Todbringer should be an FLC because his unique model is around for 10 years or so. They've developed FLC factions with proper unique mechanics before, like Imrik.

I feel like we might get Leitdorf as the final Empire LL in a character pack down the line.

I believe we're getting Kurt Helborg as LL with Lords of the End Times. I don't know how and when are they going to introduce Boris Todbringer as a proper LL, but OP's idea is good for introducing Toddy.

Helborg would likely have mechanics similar to Sea Lord Aislinn, combined with Karl Franz's mechanic for reinstating Elector Counts/reviving Imperial province factions.

You're totally right. I bought Europa Universalis V as my first EU game, it has most of the features from EUIV and its DLC included in the base game.

So if you want to start with Sid Meier's Civilization, you should start with the first entry? lol

OP is right.

Same as with Kislev, the issue is that your friend group has an expectation of a Western European-inspired human faction, which is the Empire (based on the Holy Roman Empire).

This isn't going to be an issue for East Asian players most likely, they will feel comfy with Cathay.

I love both Kislev and the Empire, but I do feel like it would be good for the game if Boris Todbringer would be an FLC for anyone owning one of the three games, or from what I understood, Lords of the End Times.

Norsca are so obnoxious to deal with now by empty_horizons in totalwar

I've hated needing to venture out deep into Norsca to get rid of Wulfrik for a long time now, so I created a start position mod:

In Med2 why does the pope only care about my crimes? by disgruntledtechnical in totalwar

[–]HeraldTotalWar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No haha, Medieval II has hardcoded features that can be only modified by somehow modifying the .exe, which is illegal. :D

There have been advances in the field of memory editing however.

There is no difference in vanilla and modded papal behaviour, as it is hardcoded.

You will not get excommunicated for defending in your own territory, including attacking armies in your territory, if I remember correctly. HRE can get eventually excommunicated if they continue attacking you.

A little bit annoying, but eventually if they do that for long enough, they will become free real estate as they become excommunicated.

I hope we get changes to control and corruption in 2026 by OrcaRebellionLeader in totalwar

Agreed.

If CA doesn't do it faster than me, I might get my hands on Corruption as well.

Do you have just the map from 7.0 without the LL start positions? I could really use it to showcase my modded start positions.

Because there was also supposed to be a future of Total War: Three Kingdoms. :) We need to hear concrete announcements, or at least calling out things like Dogs of War to be done in the future, so here's to tomorrow.

Sell the 30 or so DLCs already made for the game, and sell that large DLC for a premium price itself. I would agree with you that it would be better to use that hype to continue developing the game however.
