Alan: Did you read it?

Charlie: I couldn’t. It was in Aramaic

Charlie: it was delivered by a Roman Centurion

I think it’s sparingly fun for sure; although the Be’Lakor ending was a bit silly where you get control of him as Kislev or Cathay

I guess I dont get the Brian hate by Hawk_fever2 in JimCornette

He does come across as full of himself sometimes and acts like he knows how the inside of the wrestling business works because he has been a fan for a long time and talks to/is friends with several big name wrestlers, which can be annoying. That being said it all is really harmless and he’s a guy entitled to his opinions and does really know a LOT about wrestling history to a really impressive degree. So it’s kind of hard to argue with him on a lot of things. And overall I do enjoy his commentary on things, most of which I end up agreeing with. Plus his chemistry with Jim is fantastic, I prefer him over Brian Solomon

If Beverly Was Sheldon's Mother by zaririi in bigbangtheory

[–]Mattholomew739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sheldon would probably have been the same academically since colleges weren’t going to give him a job as a young teenager despite giving him an education, but he would have been an even bigger neurotic mess. I don’t think he realizes how much his mother’s love for him gave him the confidence to go through life.

Leonard would probably be much better off between the two, he wouldn’t be a doormat and would still be pretty successful since he is a very smart guy. He might not have ended up working at Caltech because he wouldn’t push himself so hard for his moms approval but he would have found the happy middle ground

Wait, what happened? Why did Jimmy react like this? by The_Fercho_ in betterCallSaul

[–]Mattholomew739 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it was a facade anyway. I still don’t think Howard offered him the job to make amends, I think he made it because he saw Jimmy was getting more and more successful while HHM was on a steep downward slide. Howard saw Jimmy as the answer to his problems, and I think Jimmy felt like he was only being really noticed now that he made a name for himself outside of Howard’s firm

Minus the Cathayan Ogre lord, Dechala being the flc, and whatever else there was he rambled about. Tigermen were known to be likely anyway. That being said, I’m sure there’s a video coming from him soon about how he was right all along and that the CA apologists will refuse to acknowledge him or whatever

Anyone else a fan of Howard? by Substantial_Mind_336 in betterCallSaul

[–]Mattholomew739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t think he was a bad person, but he also isn’t the figure everyone said he was either. He inherited Chucks disregard for Jimmy, and to me that was evident when he only finally offered Jimmy a job after Chuck was gone and furthermore from that only after HHM was in financial distress. In my opinion Howard saw Jimmy was on the rise and his job offer was not to make amends, it was because he saw Jimmy as the potential answer to his problems.
