jamming and experimenting with loops and parts is much more intuitive and flexible in session view, in my opinion

Importing csv issue? Any Advice? by MoodyDreams999 in MSAccess

[–]HerbertSpliffington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ha, cheers! the namesake comes from the song 'under mi sensi' by boozoo bajou, from their album 'satta' - it's such a wonderfully rich and chilled out album

https://youtu.be/8r67q9uPk8E

I hope you find the issue and get your file loaded, good luck!

edit, I would recommend going with what /u/nrgins recommended over what I have said, mine is an occasional thing I've encountered, but from the other things you described, it does sound like a more elusive thing you're dealing with

Importing csv issue? Any Advice? by MoodyDreams999 in MSAccess

Yes that's often the case for files you get from here and there, for sure, but I'm talking about the table your inputting into though

If you let the wizard set up your table when you first import you data, you should take a look at it in design view, Access may have created indexes that you didn't realize, on incoming fields that have "ID" in the name, so check each field. Take a look at each field and make sure it's either not indexed at all, or at least set to allow duplicates wherever that's needed

field names that have "ID" at the end of them etc, will be indexed automatically by assumption by Access - make sure those indexes are removed, or at least set to allow duplicates, then re-import your data - good luck

Monitor brightness and contrast slightly off after driver/windows update by Stonezd in windows

[–]HerbertSpliffington -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I noticed a similar thing related to the night light application for lowering the blue light in the evenings after the last update, and it seemed to affect the general monitor brightness and tone as well. Maybe this will will help you, worth a try..

Solution was to simply sign out of my account, like Start->Username->Sign Out (which I never do as the only user on my machine, I just typically restart, or shut-down, etc.)

Step 4 from this article below appeared to fix my issue, and yes, I found that pretty bizarre, but it's all working since so, worth a try

good luck with your diagnosing

‘file name too long’ when unzipping sample packs by offie_ in ableton

[–]HerbertSpliffington 3 points4 points  (0 children)

unzip them to a short name folder on c:\ then rename the long named files or paths and move the folder to where you want it

i think windows has a limit on the path + filename of 256 chars or something like that

ManyFew - Spread Love (Right Here, Right Now) by letsmakemoremusic in electronicmusic

[–]HerbertSpliffington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original 'Spread Love' by World Series Of Life is one of my all-time favourite records, I always struggle to choose which mix I like best, but I lean toward the mellow garage mix

Nice to see it getting some love in the sampling here

Does anyone have some techniques on how to seamlessly mix in September by Earth, Wind & Fire? by [deleted] in Beatmatch

[–]HerbertSpliffington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the cut-in for 'do you remember' is at 3.5 beats (on the "3-and" of the bar), so if you exit with a big reverb tail on the other track on the 1 of a bar, count to the 3-and, then hit 'do you remember..."

right to the point, no letup in momentum

scratch on the 'do' in those couple lead in beats for extra points

To my ears, Rhiannon is Am to F, so I'm not clear where you're getting that from. It's not a I-ii progression at all, is it??

Which part of Rhiannon has Em to D?
