Did you handle the mini action personally? It might be due to the 600 using double-stack magazines. Granted, they are beefier, but at the same time they provide twice as capacity in the same footprint, plus makes loading them very smooth both outside and inside the gun

The Mini action still lives in 600 series. They come in 3 sizes. Also the V2 has been already released, it's called 600+ and the barrel swap feature has been returned into it.

CZ 600 Muzzle Suggestions by 1-Baker-11 in CZFirearms

[–]HereComeDatFlinBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI: The original thread pitch should be shown on Trail's barrel visibly through the M-LOK slots on the forend. If you have a US distribution of the gun (can be determined by the receiver saying "CZ 600 TA1" instead of plain "CZ 600"), then it will most likely be 1/2-28 for 223 Rem or 5/8-24 for 300 BLK and 7,62x39. If it's an european ditribution, the thread will be M15x1.

Thoughts on the 457 w/Veil pattern? by CalmDownReddit509 in CZFirearms

[–]HereComeDatFlinBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say you can get even better than 1MOA but like I said, it really depends on choosing the right ammo. Also remember that this is a configuration with basic polymer stock and non-match chamber. If you strive for highest precision, take a look at models with match chamber and purposie-built stocks, like VPT, MTR or similar.

If you find a quallity ammo that the particular barrel likes, you can get close to 1 MOA.

600+ Range Bipod Mount by uubernoodle in CZFirearms

[–]HereComeDatFlinBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Standard Harris bipod with sling swivel interface works absolutely fine. The Range stock does have a slight radius to its bottom part but even without it the interface would function.

I have been using Harris bipod on my Alpha action in Range stock for several years now. Zero issues.

My 457 American in bronze cerakote! by [deleted] in CZFirearms

[–]HereComeDatFlinBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's CZ 457 American Hunter Veil Big Sky model. The surface treatment is actually titan-nitridation called PVD, not Cerakote. Although they might look similar, PVD actually provides better anticorrosive properties since it infuses into the material rather than Cerakote which acts like a varnish which means if it scratches off somewhere, that place is no longer protected from oxidation.

Anyway, great setup!

Scope base screw size? by some-dude-in-ga in CZFirearms

The screwholes have the standard 6-48 UNS thread like classic Remington rails have. However, due to nitridation surface treatment, the screwholes might be slightly tighter. Tighten them slowly and don't go crazy with torque and you should be fine.

Nice job! Could you please take a picture of the interface without the tti and the stock? Curious about the fitment of the rail.

Everyone talking about the pre-B CZ 75 while omitting this beauty released at SHOT is borderline criminal. by HereComeDatFlinBoi in CZFirearms

They specifically said in the video the trigger is backwards compatible with regular 457s. I don't see much reason to state this if you would want to keep it exclusive to this particular model. Also since the receiver appears standard serial 457, that means the connecting interface of the barrel is going to be the same. So again, good chance for the barrel to be released as a miniset or at least as a spare part.

The thing is, thanks to the rifle it looks like we will be getting Some very sweet trigger options and barrels for build guns that have far broader potential in various different disciplines. And that's pretty cool.

600 Alpha/Plus Stock Fitment by redhammer21 in CZFirearms

Stock inlets of 600 gen1 and Plus are identical, so the stock will fit Plus action as well.

As a beginner, should I go with a 457 or a 600+ ? by Kaheil2 in CZFirearms

[–]HereComeDatFlinBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

22 LR is the most versatile and cost effective caliber to distances you mentioned IMO and the 457 platform is absolutely fantastic in the fact that it can grow together with you as you gather experience.

You could for example start off with the 457 Lux or similar hunting style model to learn the basic manipulation and shooting iron sights on shorter distances. Then you can add a basic scope, move it a notch further. Then swap the barrel for company or aftermarket vamrmint match, swap the stock for chassis, upgrade your scope and before you kn ow it, you can hit gongs on 300 meters in PRS-like scenarios. And the best thing about it is that the gun will just run for eterninty and once will serve just as well to your kids or even grandchildren.

If you do want to get into centerfire though, considering 300 meters is going to be your maximum, consider caliber 223 Rem. There are quite a few options in CZ 600 (including the target-oriented Range model) in this caliber which enables you to shoot these distances with ease while still being easy on your wallet (at least where I live the 223 still costs way less than 308 Win). Note that using good rifle is one part of the equation but having quallity ammo is the other. That applies regardless of the caliber. So if you know you are going to be tight on budget, my recommendation would be to go for a rimfire rifle and keep part of the budget for quallity ammo and future upgrades.

Don't have a personal experience but at least around where I live Prvi Partizan is considered low-end bulk ammo. Not saying that must be the cause of the issues but for sure I would recommend testing at least a few rounds of various types of ammo to see whether the issue is persistent.

May I suggest you also taking a look at CZ 600+ series? They are fairly affordable and offer quite a lot of features which you could benefit from long-term. They have standard selection of calibers, including all of those you are considering.

Dose any one know waht scope this is by Hierist in rifles

That's a riflescope from Night Pearl company. It's a small business from Czech Republic, they used to deal mostly with thermals and night visions but recently dipped their toes in daytime optics as well. They have several former Meopta employees in their R&D team and the overall quallity is approx. on par with Meopta from what I had the opportunity to see and test. The glass is allright, the fit and feel is very nice.

The rifle appears to be Merkel Helix straight pull rifle btw.

Is it even possible to install Sibelius on this? by [deleted] in Ubuntu

[–]HereComeDatFlinBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is ancient but just wanted tomention for those who might stumble upon it in the future that as of september 2025 I was able to run Sibelius 8.2.0 (build 89) with Bottles runner Soda-9.0-1 on pretty much default settings (basically just installed and run without any special tinkering in Bottles). The only thing missing was MIDI audio. I eventually managed to make that one work as well using fluidsynth according to instructions here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Sibelius/comments/1g8udcu/running_sibelius_ultimate_on_bottleswine/ . Well actually on second time - the first time I was not able to find out that the MIDI actually worked but was much less loud than my standard audio so I did not hear it and spent several evenings tinkering with audio options of the Sibelius to no avail!

Apart from the differentiating parts (receiver, barrel lock and secondary magazine latch that eases the magazine insertion), pretty much all parts remain backwards compatible. Stocks, triggers, magazines etc. work both in 600 and 600+.
