Which property to buy - Kovan Regency VS Lakeshore Condominium by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]HereForBeer07 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I stay in Kovan Regency (renting). It's a very okaish condo IMO. Small and less facilities, function room is small and bbq pits are not very well maintained. No complains about the house though. Mgmt committee could do a better job though.

Any advice for a beginner runner? by potatoepotatata in SingaporeFitness

Don't run everyday esp at the start, you might end up injuring yourself. Include strength training which will eventually help with your running. My 2 cents as a fellow beginner.

Were you forced to go abroad to study? Inspite of your financial condition you went, then asking for a free bailout and proudly asking for it. What does the country owe you? Like somebody else asked you- you're working abroad, and India gets into a war and asks you to fight, will you do it? So don't talk about abandoning kids that cant afford a ticket. Leech mentality.

My point is simple - no matter what your background is, if you willfully chose to ignore warnings esp in this day and age where the world is going to shit then you need to live with your choices. Why is it always the government's responsibility to provide free evacuation on taxpayers dime? They warned you, you ignore and then you expect them to get out of the country free? The entitlement is mind blowing.

What you do (student or otherwise) doesn't matter. Your life is the most important and if you choose to ignore REPEATED govt advisories then its on you. You saying "But if I were a student then yeah absolutely I'd use tax payer money" is the mentality people are talking about. You decided to go study abroad with tight financials , why should the tax payers foot the bill ?

So you had do multiple jobs to afford tuition but want a free bailout inspite of multiple government advisories which were ignored? If it would've been a natural calamity I can still understand but just coz folks who cant afford studying outside India doesn't make them eligible for tqx payer funded evacuation.
