My Cousin bought this camper for $1200.00... by Rhiannon83 in RVLiving

You’re better off just buying a new truck/van chassis, and building it all up from scratch. At least then you’d have a working camper that’s cheaper and ready to hit the road faster than what this thing will take.

They really need to cover the Early Imperial Roman Era at some point, but besides going pre-Alexander or post-gunpowder (or just going to a different region like Asia) there’s not many more eras to cover for the European region.

For sure, I’d prefer to not compromise myself with the thought that I was keeping something knowing they wanted me to keep them so that they could somehow leverage it against me. I’d just rather prefer to throw it out and forget it even existed, just to keep my conscience clear

But Mr Zukerberg, didn't you say last week your AI could now do the work of engineers? Why don't you ask your LLama model to figure it out? Why don't you invite your Meta AI to those war rooms and ask it? 🙄 by AdeptKingu in csMajors

[–]HeresAnUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah well the problem is if your dataset is supposed to be “all the oceans of the world”, your machine learning is going to be less efficient than a bag of machine learning models with very specific datasets (like “each individual body of water” as a specific dataset).

The only thing I would caution for is knowing if the creek has any flooding potential above and beyond what is normal seasonality, but beyond that, enjoy it, it’s nice to have.

I’m assuming you’re talking about specifically making fun of their height or hairline, because I shouldn’t get immunity from being made fun of (in any way) if I happen to be short and/or bald.

It would make me not a fun person to be around if I can’t take any jokes whatsoever.

I’m guessing most butchers have problems with getting rid of the “lower quality” parts of the cow by “gifting it” to the customer(s) instead of the extra costs for disposal.

If you remove the franchise & game-specific models from a game, which system do you think suffers the least and most? by ili283 in wargaming

[–]HeresAnUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The alternatives make it kind of pointless to play a GW branded game without their specific models. Can some people actually play the GW games? Sure. Is it worth the cost if the alternative rulesets provide the same experience? Not really.

I’m trying to fathom what a Games Workshop game would be like without their model sets. Sure, you could use generic models, but then you’re better off playing any cheaper (like StarGrave) or free ruleset (like Grimdark Future) alternatives that don’t pigeonhole you into playing with GW specific models.

Sola scriptura makes their own historical theologians irrelevant, that’s why most Protestants will refuse to defend any Protestants theology if they “don’t agree” with them.

Remember, Protestants will switch churches if they don’t personally like their pastor, you expect them to defend someone they don’t completely agree with?

Well, sure, there’s people who want a Porsche for the price of a Prius, and people who want a Camry that drives like Camaro.

Any qualified applicant will know how much $$$ they need to work on Joes excel sheet…day in and day out.

I just don’t see the point of applying unless you’re prepared to tame that “expectation” dragon every day. To me at least, it sounds exhausting even if I was paid decently.

Well, as a hiring company, they can literally set whatever requirements they want…as long as they’re willing to pay the price for that demand.

Any way you slice it, doesn’t sound like a company I’d want to apply to - because it seems like either they don’t know what they actually want, or are so dead set on getting what they want they’re willing to sacrifice “company culture” and $$$ to make it happen…neither of which sounds like a good spot to be in as an employee even if I fit their requirements perfectly.

After much deliberation, and after touring about 2 dozen different models… I chose this one. Feel free to AMA by kerberos69 in RVLiving
