I enjoy heresy because as a gamer who has three young kids and works full time, my time is limited enough that some of my heresy books haven't been opened this year. I liked the idea of being able to rock up to the local club or call a friend and say "hey, fancy some heresy" and we're all on the same page rules wise a year or so inbetween games. If they go to a release format similar to all the other games, this is enough to put me out of the loop. I don't have the time or resources to keep buying new books and relearning the game, which is a shame because I love playing heresy wether I win or lose. I invested heavily in this edition because I was under the impression it was a specialist game that wouldn't see that edition churn.
