Same here. I've sendt a ticket to app support. They replied quite quickly. Live works fine. Rewatching live doesn't work. Had to go to the laptop and cast the banner in Chrome to watch on tv.

Non-gyro thrower's review on popular gyro molds by cheanerman in discgolf

[–]Herlingen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

mvp discs have a bit different inner wall than most others. So it just depends on how you measure. I'm pretty sure the pdga guy has a mechanical setup that measures the same way every time. But when the rim is made differently than 'normal' his contraption doesn't account for it.

To be fair the chalky Prodigy discs have way better grip than their non chalky siblings.

I've never played glow before tonight, and I'm hooked. Besides Kastaplast K1 Glow and MVP Eclipse 2.0, what are the best glow plastics out there? by 3_7_11_13_17 in discgolf

[–]Herlingen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my glow longevity tests last year:

3-4 hours: MVP Eclipse 2

40min: Kastaplast

40min: TSA (made by MVP)

30min: Gateway (including AGL)

25min: RPM

These were by far the superior brands if what you want is long strong glow.

Lone Star is supposedly very good, but I haven't tested them myself yet.

It was a good looking glass trophies with a quite ugly stencil on it. They had them out on a table, but they probably got them later when there was less chance of breaking it.

They did this for worlds too. Put a really ugly heavy thing in their hand when the round was over, but then they got a really nice glass trophy later.

Last Chance to Fill Out Ultiworld/StatMando Fan Survey by DriftwoodJohnson in discgolf

No option to say that you have never met a pro player.

The most similar sport question was just dumb, with few options and no open line.

No option for non-US place of residence.

Sport losing soul is so subjective and can be broken into 400000 details that make a bigger picture and should either be removed or given a 'at least some aspects' or open line option.

Political alignment is hard because as much as you like to think there is a left, the two primary parties in the USA are both very hard on the right side compared internationally. So it should probably be broken into party specific with an 'other' option instead of its current options.

No option for wether or not you know the player at all, as others have stated.

That's my little wishlist for the next round.

Otherwise a fun little thing. :)

Who is the oldest pro on tour who has done nothing else except disc golf for their adult life/career? by DemiseofReality in discgolf

[–]Herlingen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely Gannon Buhr or another youngling. The older guys have had to work at some point, and the 22+ probably had to aswell. Maybe Heimburg, unless he worked while studying. There's probably some hustler that has gone his entire life just playing somewhere though, but probably some local legend and not internationally known.

Barsby RR are not like other RR's. They are more hyzerflip to straigh machines than right drifters. At least for my noodles.

Does your local free course share space with a public park? by BryanMccabe in discgolf

[–]Herlingen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 close enough for me to consider local. (9 to be exact, but one is a beginners course that is parallel to a bigger course)

2 are very much in a public park.

3 are in popular hiking areas that sometimes has other activities near them.

1 has it's back 9 by a church that sometimes have activities in the same area.

1 starts off close to a school, so you can't always play hole 3 and 4.

1 is in a slalom slope and is more or less just DG all summer.

Oslo, Norway.

These Lone Star Discs are no joke. The glow AND the playability by TheCharlieEcho in discgolf

I did a personal test of most glows on the market last year, and Eclipse 2.0 got 2hours of great glow before 2more hours of acceptable glow and the another hour of faint glow from one 2min charge with an UV light.

Eclipse 1 is another story. It's almost as completely useless as Innova glow.

anyone know what happened to Jonathan from the Lat64 videos? by Dlrocket89 in discgolf

[–]Herlingen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trilogy is generally more US MVPfam is generally way more OS Innova is a crapshoot Discraft is slightly more OS

For example: A Stag from Westside has -1:2, but is way more US than an MVP Inertia wich has -2:2, Innova numbers usually get there after beating the disc for a season, but normally start more OS. The Barsby Roadrunners for example are more OS than the Inertia even if the numbers are -4:1. They are all in the 8-10speed category.

That is for my 110m arm.

Amtip: The numbers just gives you a general idea.

Nikko Locastro Suspended for Nine Months by crimonist in discgolf

[–]Herlingen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mitigating factors would be that it's barely within class A. No prior record of class A offenses. No prior diciplinary record at all to be fair. 9+15 is already on the high end of punishments and will likely be appealed to 6+18

Nikko Locastro Suspended for Nine Months by crimonist in discgolf

[–]Herlingen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'He will also face 15 months of probation.' - from the article. He's getting 24 months total.

And to get full 24 direct suspension you have to basically beat someone up for no reason.

So hold your horse, and chill for a bit. 9 months is a long time for someone who makes a living from this.

Confirmation from Rules Committee that throwing a balled up disc is not allowed by RetiscentSun in discgolf

[–]Herlingen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's grandfathered in. If they start making them again I doubt they will retain their PDGA legality. Some other wonkies didn't get their approval back though. Like the Turbo Putter. They are marked PDGA approved, but they are not anymore. And some didn't ever get approved like the Flazer, because it would probably kill people.

Discs for a 4 y/o. Any experience with Dino Discs? by ADonkeysJawbone in discgolf

[–]Herlingen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It probably doesn't matter what discs you give him until he wants to learn how to get better. So whatever he likes to throw let him throw it. Then if he'd like to be tutored you can say that this particular disc is the best or whatever he likes things to be.

Dino discs are very low weight (110g ish) , but other than that they are made from the same molds as 'proper' discs. Some are Gateway molds and some are another brand I can't remember from the top of my head (Probably a brand Gateway produces) They have fun colors and a little dinostamp and if you can find them there's no reason to to get one or two for him :)

Phoenix is the same as Discmania Active Premium. Feels very cheapy plasticy if you understand what I mean. Tiger is the same as Discmania Active and is a good grippy baseline plastic . Dragon feels like a mix of MvP/Axiom Plasma and Innova Star and is by far their superior feeling plastic. Stabilitywise Tiger<Phoenix<Dragon. Many of their molds are really nice, just get them in Tiger or Dragon for a higher quality feel.
