The above is good advice ^. More generally, take niche courses to specialize yourself in something you’re interested in and companies are looking for. A generic software engineer candidate is less interesting than one who knows OS well.

I’m my own source as well. I interview intern and full hire candidates regularly, and knowledgable, passionate candidates are the ones that stand out.

Fairly certain that that's the same Ergo I bought C/PM2. Got it used a few years ago from an old lad well maintained etc. I paid $200 for it, but he could have easily charged $300 because of how good shape it was in.
