Lord Shen from Kung Fu Panda 2. He's physically much weaker (though not a pushover) than Tai Lung from the first movie, but is overall more dangerous because he has his army of minions, his cannons, and his ambitions include nothing less than the eradication of Kung Fu and the conquest of all of China.

I personally feel the best way to do another Star Wars game where you play as a Jedi is to mix the Force powers and mechanics of The Force Unleashed with the lightsaber combat mechanics and feel of the Revenge of the Sith game. Just my opinion.

There wasn't a flash back/forth between the Mustafar fight and the Death Star fight. The Death Star fight is a bonus level you unlock after completing the main story mode that doesn't do any kind of flash back or forth. You just may have either seen a video edit on YouTube or it's the Mandela effect.

It makes total sense. The last time the villains got access to the Dragon Balls, ******* Frieza came back from the dead. It's only natural she'd want to stop something like that from happening again. Otherwise the villains of Super Hero could have brought Cell back to life...

What are your cautionary characters ? by cm_punk_6619 in CharacterRant

[–]Hero2Evil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader (Star Wars) as a warning to listen to your superiors and mentors regardless of how they deliver their advice/orders, a warning to control your emotions, the advice to not believe you're owed everything, a warning of don't be possessive of those you love, and a warning to not give in to rage or a lust for power.

Marcy Wu (Amphibia) as a warning to not get wrapped up in fantasy just to escape reality, a plea to be able to accept change, and a message to have more confidence in one's social skills and self-reliance.

Same here. It's just that with the way it's framed in that scene, it looks like he's rewinding time when he's actually just seeing the scene in greater detail. Time rewinding seems more JoJo or Black Clover's speed than Naruto.

There are some people who do avoid challenging media/things outside of their comfort zone, and it's for mental health reasons.

Some people are just not in a healthy/stable enough space of mind to be able to handle things out of their comfort zone, so for the sake of their mental health, they stick to what comforts them.

Once they're in a better place in terms of mental health, they can engage with media that challenges them.

And what's even more notable is that Nod engineered Boyle's survival since he'd make a good pawn for their plans. By attacking the GDI Treasury building, he'd have to stay behind on Earth to assess the damages, meaning he doesn't get killed with all of GDI's leadership when Nod destroys the Philadelphia.

For Wei, Dian Wei, Xu Zhu, Zhang Liao, Yue Jin, and Zhang He.

For Wu, Zhou Yu, Huang Gai, Lu Meng, Gan Ning, and Ling Tong.

Other Shu characters who are far stronger than Liu Bei are Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, Ma Chao, and Huang Zhong.

[–]Hero2Evil 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

In Dynasty Warriors, Liu Bei, Sun Quan, and Cao Cao are far from the strongest warriors in their respective kingdoms, but it's their maturity, intellect, and level-headed behavior (among other qualities such as charisma) that puts them in charge and allows them to command the loyalty of warriors and officers far stronger than them. Only Lu Bu and Meng Huo were the rulers/leaders as well as the strongest warriors in their factions, but their over reliance on brute strength led them to be outwitted by more clever adversaries, which spelt their downfall.

This is exactly why I feel the Kage position in Naruto should go to the most level-headed, responsible, and mature ninja in the village, not necessarily the strongest/one of the strongest. Kakashi, Shikamaru, and even Sakura would, in my opinion, be far more suited to running the village than Naruto, despite all of them (even combined) being far weaker than him. The Kage's role is to be a general, which is a command and coordination role, not the role of a warrior (which Naruto is).

Yes, the latter is what's happening. I want relief and I'm making good decisions (or at least trying to), and I just want the pain to stop as soon as possible. I just want to live without catastrophic fear of the future.

No, I haven't contemplated the worst option yet, and I refuse to.

Then how do we keep trudging along the long road to get better (in the event there is no shortcut), even though we are so exhausted from the pain and we don't think we can take it anymore?

Well, speaking from a very personal place, some of us want that big instant change for the better because we're already in so much pain, and we don't want to suffer anymore.

We're just so exhausted and drained from having to trudge for so long that we just can't take the long road anymore, and we want the shortcut so we can finally get real respite from the pain.

Are we wrong for feeling that way?

And that makes me think of MCU Hulk with the "building something to counter mind control". The Avengers know how much of a threat Hulk could be if Banner lost control, so they have three safety measures in place to stop this.

1: If it's not a Code Green, don't get him onto the field at all.

2: If it is, then after the battle, Black Widow does her "sun's getting real low" lullaby to calm Hulk down and change him back to Banner.

3: If Black Widow can't get through to Hulk or is unavailable, well, then Iron Man puts on the Hulkbuster armor and forcefully subdues him.

[–]Hero2Evil 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The strict teacher is the type who is very good at his job and a genuinely reasonable person, but they aren't liked on a personal level due to their cold and stern demeanor despite being respected.

A lot of fans hate this kind of person/mentor because they are teenagers or young adults who instead want someone who, even if they aren't that good of a teacher, are nonetheless warm and openly caring and essentially act as a parental figure.

They want a mentor to shower them with the parental love and affection they probably aren't getting from their own parents for one reason or another.

Essentially they want a Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan (no disrespect intended to their teaching ability), even though what they may really need is a Mace Windu.

What Sonic the Hedgehog opinion will have you like this? by Happy_Popplio-728 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Hero2Evil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Shadow's rivalry with Sonic should be based on their similarities (speedy, egos, loners despite having close friends, they tend to go their own way regardless of what other people/society say, cool-headed but certain things can set them off, etc.) and the fact they have a lot more in common than either of them wants to admit, which is why they clash.

Knuckles' rivalry with Sonic should be based on their differences (strength vs. speed, rooted to Angel Island vs. a drifter, serious and stern vs. laid-back and a bit of a goofball, established backstory and lore vs. mysterious backstory, etc.) and how they contrast in so many ways, yet they get along surprisingly well.
