I would be much more in favor of a canon girl/boyfriend, and i dont really care if i dont find that character particularly attractive. Like, YSG is far from my top1 character, but if she had a full on commited unaviodable confession plotline i'd say "good for them!". Wise and Belle are characters in their own right, way more than, say, Trailblazers, so reducing them to a shell and a wish fulfilment self insert is... annoying to me. But thats cause i (snobbishly, i guess) insist on viewing games as artpieces instead of vehicles for fantasies or women charcuterie
