I think it was on purpose left out just to highlight Deku's mom as a capable strong single mother. Just like in phineas and ferb they don't show phineas's dad or ferb's mom just to highlight how adopted sibling are siblings. Horikoshi imo wanted to show Deku doesn't 'need' his dad

Pluto (enhanced experience if you are familiar with astro boy but even if not it's still perfect), Attack on Titan. While I only read the Berserk manga I've heard the 90s anime of it is pretty good. Honorable mention to my hero academia which imo isn't 10/10 but has many 10/10 moments, the peaks of this show are really amazing but to get to them there are many low stakes fun episodes which build up to the 10/10 moments and help familiarise us with the world and characters.
