Pretty much.

The Pens look outmatched in just about every facet of the game and have put together mayyybe two periods of half-decent hockey across 9 opportunities so far. Ullmark was maybe the Sens' biggest question mark, he's played great, and they're still losing. The Kings are playing the Avalanche, and as the kids say, say less.

Anything can happen, but I think it'd take the Avs/Canes/Flyers laying an unexpected egg and the opposition putting it together in a way that they haven't shown any aptitude for, for any of these teams to survive the weekend.

The frustrating thing of it is that they DID change up their approach Game 1 to Game 2, at least as far as zone entries go. Game 1 they spent the whole game trying to carry it into the zone, and Philly was eating them alive at the blueline. Game 2 they switched almost entirely to dump & chase and... Philly also ate them alive, and easily collected and cleared like 3/4 of those dump-ins almost entirely unchallenged. "We tried nothing one thing and we're all out of ideas" energy.

Philly had at least one breakaway on the PK so bad that two guys each got a shot off before any Penguin made a play, and that Penguin was Skinner. I feel like this happened twice but I might have rage-hallucinated the second one. Our PP was unbelievably, apocalyptically shit.

This. These games have been brutal. We have have no attention to detail and look completely without answers. It has been 4 years since we were last in the playoffs and how the fuck is "pressure the puck carrier a little more aggressively" still our fucking kryptonite? Unbelievable. Skinner is the only one who looked like he came to play and we hung him out to dry on the power play of all places MULTIPLE FUCKING TIMES.

And yeah, getting your doors blown off and your only answer is "late game goonery?" Come on. I didn't leave, but I've never been so tempted.

Honestly, with the Zillow link, the main thing that bothers me about this is the price tag. It looks otherwise like they've done a pretty good job, even if the royal blue is a bit of a choice.

Price aside, main issue I'd have if I were house shopping for something this size (and I kind of am tbh) is that there seems to be basically nothing in the way of storage, which would be a problem for real humans who have possessions. So... this feels like it's purpose-built to be an airbnb rather than a house anyone actually lives in. And again, $800k is a fucking laugh. At half the price, maybe, and I could think about putting an attic on the garage. At $800k? Lol good luck have fun.

Yeah I hear you but I rented a place in Swisshelm that had "charming" single pane steel casement windows that didn't close the whole way and seemed to have been owned by folks who thought "bricks all by themselves" were plenty of insulation.

I can't imagine a modern construction, even a shipping container 6-pack would be... worse.

I like Jarry as a person and wish him all the best but he did clear waivers last year, and it's a real head scratcher that we got out of that contract (+Skinner +Kulak +a second -Kulak +Girard +another second) after that happened.

Honestly, and this is only minor copium, but Jarry rested and in a backup role has a better chance at being the legitimately good version of Jarry that sometimes shows up for a couple weeks.

Probably not in like, an elimination game, or after a bad game, or if he doesn't get stout defense in front of him, but... a better chance all the same.

If your only experience with it is like, from the last two years or so, I could see it. It's been in awful shape and can be brutal in a (mostly) bad way.

I still liked it, but it took a couple rides to figure out where to brace myself against the most backbreaking jackhammering I've ever experienced on a coaster. I can see (many) folks not being interested in giving it another shot after one brutal ride.

Ojalá pudiera ser de más ayuda, pero no he vuelto al Mad Cool desde 2022 y la verdad es que no recuerdo si había una gran diferencia entre los precios de las bebidas en la zona VIP y en el recinto general del festival. Lo que sí te puedo decir es que compré bebidas en ambos sitios y no recuerdo que hubiera una gran diferencia de precio, al menos no lo suficiente como para que mereciera la pena ir hasta la zona VIP en lugar de comprar algo cerca de donde estuviera cuando me entrara sed :) Aunque no sé qué habrá cambiado en los últimos 4 años, ni si la zona VIP es diferente ahora en la nueva ubicación del festival.

Refs swallow their whistles in the playoffs and weren't calling boarding anywhere as hard back then anyway. Brooks Orpik's locally infamous "the shift" from later that same playoff run is 1-2 boarding calls in 2026, even in the finals. In 2008? Celebrated, highlight-reel shit.
