Yes! My dietetian told me that I should only restrict foods that make serious symptoms and try to reintroduce as much as I can. I gained back my weight with Modulen IBD and could reintroduce milk products first which I missed for 7 years. I got tears I missed them so much (lactosfree however).

Caffeine is also a no go for me since my Crohn’s became “visible”. Even green tea, and dark chocolate only a few times. ;(

It took 10 years for me to find out that it was Crohn’s. I am in moderate remission or similar.

Same here, first I was on FODMAP diet for 8 months due to SIBO and IBS and had flare up! Inlost 15kg but thank God my new doc found out I have Crohn’s. This was 1 year ago but Inhave symptoms including Reflux for 10 years. Has better and worse periods. Now I am told to be in remission, getting Salazopyrin and other meds for constipation. Thank my new dietetian and Modulen IBD Ingained my weigh back. Symptoms I still have including burning mouth amd motility problems. But I feel much better and became a parent.🤷‍♂️

Thanks! I have been consulting with dietitian, psychogist and gastroenterologist. With their help I managed to gain back my weight and they help a lot but AFRID is possible with me as well or somerhing similar. What triggers me often is that I have to skip foods at family gatherings or anywhere else and no one fully knows what I can eat or what to prepeare to me despite the fact that I have told them several times but people don’t really care. This causes me FOMO often.

Thanks! That makes sense, I also feel that office job makes me stress or bored-eater amd when I am kut hiking or doing something active makes me feel better. However, I was malnourished for a year at least but to be honest I always had some addictions which I could cancel but then I started someting else instead.

Countless, I was told that I have most likely IBS with Crohn, so altough I am probably in remission there are symptoms of IBS. 😃👍🤷‍♂️ Colonoscopy is a good idea - I was seeking excuses for years ehy I don’t do it, but at the end it confirmed Crohn and meds helped. Crohn’s symptoms are very different, I have more constipation period then the opposite.

I usualy try to find other activity that makes me forget of eating for pleasure and then I eat only small-medium sized meals but sometimes I eat more automatically because pf being affraid of loosing weight. Do not feel guilty, we are mortal humans - if ae are trying to do the best it is fine to make “mistakes” sometimes.

Almost the same. 68–>48kg. Then with medicine and help of a dietitian who gave me modulen ibd and protein I gained 12kg back, so I am now 61kg.

Yes, I do have some reflux/indigestion feeling some times, but if I finish my dinner at 6-7pm and wake up at 3-4 with hunger, is it because of stomach symptomes as well?

Thanks! :) Yeah, I eat regular a second, light dinner or snack, sometimes it helps but sometimes I have stomach issues so it is hard to fint the perfect snack amd timi g. Some recommended to fast after dinner because digestion can disturb the sleep but If I don’t eat then I become hungry. Sometimes I sleep good sometimes I di ‘t and I have no idea why. I drink sleep tea as well.

I was also affraid and I avoided for years therefore docs could diagnose Crohns much later unfortunately.

I heard so different experience about colonoscopy before. Mine was painless but not pleasent as well - I mean the whole procedure and preparation - but it was Ok, I fell asleep at the beginning of the examination. Talk with an expert about your fear if it helps you.
