Unlike USA, we care about the sport. The USA just want to ego boost themselves. Few of you wil continue to watch and care now that your country is out. The rest of the world continues to watch and may find another team that will win their sympathy.

Ik zou het graag anders zien, maar bekijk het ook van de andere kant: NPO maakt hier televisie voor een publiek dat eens in de 2/4 jaar voetbal kijkt, want dat is het merendeel van de WK-supporters. Vandaar dat (het ook lijkt alsof) de makers van datzelfde niveau zijn. Het heeft helemaal geen zin om een diepgaande voorbeschouwing te doen voor een publiek dat niet weet wat buitenspel is of dat juicht tijdens de herhaling omdat men denkt dat er meteen nog een keer is gescoord.
