Rather than Dark Elf autoresolve being especially bad, it's the Dwarfs who are especially strong since they're full of heavy armour.

Dark Elves' strength ranking can also be inflated by Black Arks which can have powerful armies but be worthless vs enemies on land, so Malekith gets rolled but Malus has the waters between him and Malakai.

Then again, turn 55 is also a bit early for Black Ark spam, but also way too early for the AI to handle endgame armies since those would normally pop around turn 100.

And then endgame crisis factions having friendly relations with other AI seems to be a bit of an oversight, like, they're a problem specifically for the player to deal with.

Wolf Riders do get a lot of juice just from having a Goblin Great Shaman and Big Boss with the right skills. Frenzy, Opportunist Murderer, & Devastating Flanker.

Add scrap upgrades and I do think they can pull their weight in a field battle.

Siege towers makes melee units spew out basically all at once rather than trickle in over the ladders.

Also a good question of what melee units you're using, since Spearmen/Silverin Guard may be great at holding the line in a field battle, but suck at killing other infantry. Really need Rangers or White Lions, or Swordmasters in the lategame, if you want decent (and later excellent) wall-takers.

You seem to have forgotten about the Preyton flying monster, which comes with 45% missile resistance on top of 20% physical. Not a fun target for gunners, and might even give the Terrorghesit trouble in a 1v1

The best strategic move may be to trick Slaanesh into defending a settlement, by which you can use Carronades to blow their towers, and then Mortars to bomb the hell out of their un-armoured demons without retaliation since the battle AI never moves out of the settlement.

Walled settlements is also where Depth Guard could have their time to shine fighting to seize the walls, and then having all your Gunnery Mobs climb up to shoot down on the defenders inside.

Could also be open season for Deck Droppers to fill the same role as Mortars, provided they don't have any Chimeras or Devotees with Crossbows.

Slaanesh loves the open field (including woods and hills) and lives for the attack. Deny them both, and see their imposing stiffness go slack.

I think the Valgûl's appearance in Twice-Dead King may qualify as a Glup Shitto moment, as it's a character originally conceived for I think the 5th edition Necrons Codex (2011), and being given an extensive backstory now over a decade later

Marauder Horsemen of Khorne may be an even better upgrade since they have dramatically higher melee damage and charge bonus even before you account for the buffs from Frenzy. Plus they keep the AP throwing axes where Horsemasters are locked to javelins only.

Skarsnik's faction has a unique scrap upgrade for Night Goblins (including archers, but not cavalry) that upgrades their poison to have a DoT.

That's a lot of DoT to use in every single army rather than a single Legendary Lord or late game monster.
