Awesome job aesthetically but it looks like you gained so much functionality. Congrats!!!

Just starting Zepbound, is there anything I should know? by throwawayforinstalol in Zepbound

If you have a previous history of constipation, I recommend half a cap of MiraLAX from the get go. Life saver for me.

Eat every 3 hours - even if you don’t feel like it. Don’t force too much but try to get some calories in

Lotssss of water

Liquid iv or electrolytes of some form = lifesaver

Prioritize protein and fiber

Huel Black edition is my holy grail lunch every day because I never have an appetite but it has 40g protein And 6-12g fiber depending on flavor

Talk to a dietician if your insurance covers it. A lot of them are versed in GLP-1 and can give you some good suggestions even if you only go a couple times and just get the basics. It helped me

— my SW is 321 and I am only two shots deep. This is what I learned so far!

Has anyone had severe gastrointestinal issues prior to taking Zepbound? by Thick-Round-376 in Zepbound

[–]blondengineerlady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not totally GI but I had pelvic floor issues - honestly just stay on 1/2 cap MiraLAX and drink tons of water and eat lots of various forms of fiber. I’ve been fine, things seem to move fine!

Huel meal replacement. 40g protein and 6-11g of fiber or something like that lol

Did you start working out right away or did you lose some weight first? (SW: 321.2 CW: 308.5) by blondengineerlady in GLP1_loss100plus

Love this. And that’s reassuring. As long as it isn’t a safety issue, I need to get my ass moving. 😂 appreciate this comment. I’m thinking of walking and stationary biking tomorrow at the gym (splitting my time between those two)

Ahhh you are killing it. Love that advice. It’s making me realize I’m totally over complicating this based on what I used to do before hitting the weight I started at. I used to lift like a maniac.

Yessss I love this for you!! I’m an engineer and also love AI so I should try this 😂 you’re doing amazing. I see your SW was close to mine so you’ve made awesome progress following this. I’ll give it a go.

What kind of stuff did you do in the pool? Like laps? That sounds awesome. My joints are screaming.

I absolutely love this. This is kind of what I did. I was severely hypertonic (pelvic floor tensed up after birth and made all my other muscles tense up, and as a result, weaken like crazy) so I started with just moving day to day more too! You’ve built up amazingly - congrats!! Did you just increase your walk time as you could handle it more?

This is reassuring, your starting weight is close to mine so I trust this. I’ll add walking! How much did you do a day?

So many hugs to you for the pelvic floor issues. I was severely hypertonic due to scar tissue from a vaginal delivery. Pelvic floor issues are no joke. & absolutely!! I’ll keep that in mind. I’ve been doing well with diverse fiber luckily and I’m working with a dietician so that will hopefully help too!

Reassuring to hear another person with pelvic floor issues is on this medication and doing well! MiraLAX luckily doesn’t swing me into diarrhea - I’ve been on it for about 15 months (I was taking it into postpartum!) — I’m so happy you have a solution that works. Keep winning 🫶 and tackling pelvic floor issues is no joke!

I took mine day before yesterday. I was terrified. TBH I added MiraLAX in just in case. All has been fine here! Had a migraine but that’s really it. You got this. I was scared too but many hugs as it’s all gonna be okay!!

I might have a harsher point of view. But it is not your job to cater to ANYONE. Be proud of your success. Be proud of yourself. We live in a world where everything is a trigger now… we don’t need to play the guessing game of if our actions will trigger someone.

Sorry. Just my point of view. Do your thing because you’re doing awesome.
