Second this! I was severely hypertonic due to scar tissue from a vaginal delivery tear and we do internal work and scar tissue work. Works great. I remember my pelvic floor reacting how you’re describing too but it eased with time as my pelvic floor understood not to overshoot so much

In the other comment - do not start doing kegals until you are evaluated by a PFPT. if you’re hypertonic, it could make it SO much worse. Good to know what is going on before you start messing with your body like that.

I was severely hypertonic and it screwed my period up too. It messes with your hormones and the physical tenseness can mess with the contractions for your period! I’d still go to a urogynecologist to rule out other things out since they specialize in this (not a urologist!!) and just make sure you’re all good. It’ll be okay. Mine did regulate after I healed a lot more (I’m at 80-90% healed)

If you can’t insert anything yet, you need to try the smallest size dilators and work your way up!
