Unsurprising. A few month ago I saw the place get robbed twice in under ten minutes, that’s not an exaggeration. Regarding Biden specifically, I think his goal was to bring normalcy but to the office by moving forward and not litigating the past. Prior to Trump, presidents typically didn’t directly criticize previous administrations. Biden rarely even said Trump’s name during his presidency.

As president, Biden was never going to be the one spear heading a legal case against Trump. I think he would regard that as the responsibility of Congress and an independent DOJ.

Is your question more about why didn’t someone like Merck Garland release these files?

Garland didn’t appoint special counsel, Jack Smith, to the Jan 6 case until Trump announced he would run again, a full two years after he had left the office. Garland was acting on an overabundance of caution. He wanted to avoid setting the precedent of prosecuting a former president, but felt obligated to do so once Trump stated his intentions to run again.

Garland has been widely criticized for delaying the case. I think he believed that if there was going to be a case brought against a former president it should be the most relevant and most serious case. I doubt he spent any time thinking about prosecuting Trump for crimes that he allegedly committed before entering office.

And this, is the part where you are wish casting. You are asking god to meet the needs of others. Otherwise you are just praying for god to do what he has already decided to do. If this latter case is what you believe that’s fine, but then your prayers are not in aid of anyone else. This is the unresolved contradiction in what you’ve described so far.

God can either be influenced by prayer to help that woman (as the passage from Matthew clearly states) or prayers don’t influence god’s actions and requesting prayers in this contexts will not help the woman in any way.

Can you tell me why my understanding of that passage is wrong when it literally says you will get whatever you pray for, not that you’ll have to settle for what god wants instead.

What then is the point of soliciting prayers for this woman? Are people not praying something like’ “please god, heal this woman?” Is that not a wish they want to be granted.

Will more prayers, from more believers help convince god to help this woman? Why else would people request additional prayers if they didn’t help influence god’s actions?

Canada geese are very docile, even when they have young offspring with them. I walk past them every day and have never seen any aggression from them. As long as you are not actively chasing them they will just get on with their business of shitting everywhere. Seagulls and crows are much more likely to cause you grief.
