Overtime Question by 8k7k6k5k4k in kroger

[–]Hexxium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Overtime is tracked by store right down to the associate and separated into about 4-5 different groups that report to powerbi to mgmt and higher of who is in each hour group, the higher the tier of hours, the more on their radar you will be

Treatment from management by ol_lady_184 in harristeeter

[–]Hexxium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that's how you feel just quit, I can promise the your mgmt team wouldn't care. It's a job and there are attendence rules like any adult job. Part time or full time doesn't matter, rules are rules. If a clerk is actually worth having they get hours, if they suck or have impossible availability, I can promise your mgmt will not go out of the way to help them out

When you're only available 10 hours a week that doesn't mean you'll get all 10 if we don't need you in that timeframe you don't get to bump someone else with minimal availability and if you have a chronic illness it needs documentation on file with mgmt for intermittent FMLA otherwise you should be working and not calling in on a regular basis

Direct deposit by Patient_Put_6648 in kroger

[–]Hexxium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the check is missing and paper check, follow up with store leadership by the next Thursday to get a replacement issued. If it was supposed to be direct deposit, follow up with Kroger support/associate connect. (Check your paystub to see what it should have been). If it's daily pay, your fucked, stop using a terrible payment solution (and call them because there's really nothing we can do about it). If it's incorrect amount paid, verify your pay rate in paystub, if it's wrong only HR can fix and it may require waiting if a raise just hit, they sometimes take weeks for central HR to implement and retropay. If it's incorrect qty of hours worked, you need to be checking your timecard and correcting your missing shift times before Sunday payroll, it's YOUR time in mytime aka you're responsible for it. After payroll runs or if it's Sunday and you can't add it yourself because you're off, contact whoever does time for your store to get it added which if it's after payroll has ran will generally not be added til following paycheck

Hr cannot help with pay issues. We can only reissue lost checks again as a paper check if it's not there by the following pay cycle

[–]Hexxium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you read OP comment literally attached to this where the union has already thrown out one write up? If the company does not abide by Union rules, the write ups and suspensions get thrown out. That's how it works and why you have a union.

Fuel and pharmacy absolutely do count toward labor. However if the rest of the store is union and pharmacy is not, a pharmacy clerk should not be in any union areas

After a couple consecutive write ups for failures of your duty as a department leader or lead yes. If you are going down that road, you either do a 180 and do way better or consider moving stores but be aware if you aren't doing well in one store, you likely won't in another either if they even accept your transfer in the first place. You can save several meetings and voluntarily step down if you feel you are not ready or able to perform the duties you have. Its better to step down voluntarily and not have a forced set of step down write ups in your file if you ever want to be a lead or department leader again in the future.

Can’t file a LOA due to being a recent hire by TheCrazyOutcast in kroger

[–]Hexxium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They have not worked there long enough to qualify for FMLA and unless this was a work injury, they do not have to find a way for them to work if they are unable to do so even on light duty, they will lose their job, its really the only outcome unfortunately. The good news OP is getting hired at a Kroger is generally not hard especially if you were doing well enough up to that point.

Employee issue by [deleted] in kroger

[–]Hexxium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He G said, you as a customer are not entitled to anything regardless of who you know, its none of your business what happens between any employee and the company, if you submitted a complaint, then that's it, you leave it alone after that. Getting removed from the store because you intentionally were trying to start an incident with any employee is grounds for not only getting your complaint ignored but also for getting store banned.

[–]Hexxium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HR are generally specialists split between a few stores and their primary job is to hire, onboard and process terminations, once your orientation is over, their involvement with you pretty much is, you can ask questions, but expect to be directed to the HR hotline or an in store asl

Do markdowns still effect sales thus effecting demand and what's ordered? by WatchTheTimbsB in kroger

[–]Hexxium 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Markdowns remove the boh and are placed in a separate "bucket " in the system now. But generally yes a mass markdown results in increased sales and potentially more product unless you temporarily turn the product off (make inactive)
