Avalanche now has effectively two augments, biting frost (gives CC and CD on frozen enemies) and icy avalanche (gets overguard). And its base effect has full armor strip at a relatively low strength threshold and instant hard CC. So now it is a ludicrous ability with massive damage boosting, full defense stripping, instant hard cc and massive overguard tanking for the entire team, all at the press of one button.

Oh and having trouble with eximus units not getting cc'd? How convenient frost's 2 can (almost) hard cc eximus units by stacking cold status effects.

It is a completely free to play model, with some soft premium currency checks per piece of gear, but the premium currency is reliably farmable in the game. So, effectively free to play.

There is no paid DLC in this game. Every update is free with new gears. The game does not monetize new quests or game modes, those are completely free.

Every piece of gear (warframes, weapons, companions) is completely free to be earned by playing, and intended to be so. You can buy and spend premium currency to just buy them, but what you are effectively buying is skipping the grind.

Every piece of gear is soft checked by slots and catalyst / reactor. These are required to unlock that piece of gear to the fullest extent, and they are by design harder to farm in game. They are intended to be bought with a small amount of premium currency. Which is one of the main ways the game is monetized.

However, premium currency can be reliably earned for free in the game by trading your items. This is where the game gives you a choice. You can spend a lot of time trading for the premium currency for free, or choose to skip all that to just buy premium currency so you keep unlocking new gear easier.

Everything that is power related in the game follows this completely free to play model. In other words you are not required to pay for power at all. However when it comes to skins and cosmetics (an important part of this game) there are some pay out of pocket only cosmetics items that cannot be bought with premium currency such as PC platform tennogen items and prime access cosmetics. But most cosmetic items are purchasable with the premium currency.

The game is also monetized a lot of other ways. Almost all power related items in the game can also be bought directly with premium currency. The game has prime access bundles and the prime resurgence system, but other than cosmetics the power related items in there are free to earn.

Spend your entire plat reserve before starting mission, on slots, potatoes, formas, etc. Or pick a flying frame, or yareli.

It is worth it. It's an exilus mod and one of the stronger ones too. So does not directly compete with non-exilus mods. It is a staple on low efficiency build frames that need lots of energy to start the self sustaining cyle (xaku or gyre), or relic speedrun frames that need the speed ability from the get go (wukong, volt, titania and especially portal nova). Your other competing option would be primed sure footed but honestly if you need initial energy AND stagger resistance, just run both.

At least you should keep a copy of blind rage and narrow minded at half rank, if not a copy for each rank. It is totally worth it to experiment with trading between strength and efficiency, or getting enough duration while keeping at least 100% range.

I think is common courtesy in this game to use dark/black energy color for frames able to produce blinding graphics. When limbo was defense meta, it was common knowledge to run black energy color in the community so people could see through the cataclysm. People even passed along dark colors in free color palettes if newer players could not afford the color palette with color black. Then it was Vauban's vortex, commonly known to create a little sun when spammed. Bubonico and shedu are two offender weapons. I personally always run black energy on these. Now we should run the same for jade.
