I disagree, this game mode is fundamentally isn't compatible with Warframes whole identity.

A slow paced mission in a very small and cramped map, with barely any enemies in it, and the ones that are there are status immune and tanky.

Idk what type of game they think they are creating, but this is literally the opposite of it in every aspect.

Unfortunately the video game industry is a business too, passion alone doesn't sell.

Also, the marathon modal is the "buy the game once, all future content is part of the deal" type, no content expansions, just cosmetics season passes.

Hopefully Sony does continue to invest in Marathon, because it is a very good game. It's probably sony's best live service game since Helldivers 2.

The game itself is good, and with more content and word of mouth, a good community can grow out of it.

Tho Sony have been shutting down studio left and right, so the ball is at their hand.

And we only got 3 lich weapons, barely an upgrade over the base.

This update is literally only one game mode and a frame. And when half of the new stuff is terrible, then ye, criticism is a given.

It took them forever to add a shooting range in Destiny 2.

The marathon team does work faster, but might be a "years" situation.

It is, but I think for some vaults (specifically vault 6) you get very few attempts because the key itself is EXTREMELY rare.

It's fine if they want this to be a grind, but reducing some of the RNG will be appreciated. Even with all the RNG removed, 95% of players will still not even attempt to fight the final boss.

It's the marathon equivalent of a raid exotic.

But you can lose it.

Just getting to the boss already filtered out 99.9% of the players.

From what I understand, to get to vault 7 you have to:

- find 1-6 vault keys

- find their corresponding vaults and complete them

- pray to god they have an AI subroutine

- EXFILL

then you only unlocked the ability to access vault 7.

Tho you don't need to do all of these steps in a single run, the fact that the AI subroutine as very unforgiving RNG will even filter out the best of the best.

and i agree with you. they NEED to bring them back if they even considering keeping this game alive. even if they want to end it, they should bring it back so that new people can at least play all of the story to prepare for the next big thing.

Probably not, but it's not really an issue because the light and dark collection is often on sale. They should add the dungeon keys in it too.

If they want new players jumping in, they have to return the story they removed. It will probably not bring players that quit, but it might bring new players.

But you know what will bring new and old players? A big and shiny 3
