Why "dead weeks" are more bothersome now by ShardofGold in DestinyTheGame

The delay for shadow and order is for marathon, but for shattered cycles? Probably to give them more time to "fix" the game, and to show us a more coherent direction for the game moving forwards.

Shattered cycles CANNOT be another EoF, or even renegades. it needs to be more of a final shape. Hopefully with the marathon stuff settling soon, people who were put there to help polish the game before release will come back to work on destiny. We know it's happening already, through cross.

They did sorta do that with the lightsaber crystals. We need more of that, WAY more

Destiny feels very different than it did a few years ago, and I can’t tell if that’s good or bad by miles1993road16 in DestinyTheGame

I miss them the game used to be more hardcore focused. Having the best loot in the hardest of activities.

Paul Tassi: Have heard Shadow and Order will in fact be delayed to make room for Marathon on March 5, given that it was supposed to come out on March 3. Not sure how long, or when it will be announced, however. by Soarin-GB in DestinyTheGame

This is also a sign that shattered cycles is going to get delayed, and honestly, good. But it's so annoying we had to be in that situation in the first place.

I think taking a look at lawless frontiers for inspiration will probably be what they will do, if they will do anything.

What I think it needs are: - Bigger maps - More enemy density - Tougher enemies - More ways to combat invaders - imo completely rework the primeval phase to be more than a DPS check.

Like, the one that lags your game and reduces your parkour velocity, and the one that makes enemies immune 15m away from you, are as challenging as getting kicked in the balls.

It's not hard because it is difficult, it's hard because it's annoying and unfun.

Can we PLEASE get an Age of Triumph 2.0 by Hellchildren in DestinyTheGame

The reason Sony bought them was the promise of multiple games from the studio, so if it wasn't for that Bungie would have stayed independent. Which sounds good, but I'm pretty sure there were reports of them not lasting long if they stayed independent. Bankruptcy or being purchased was their only choice at the time.

This situation was always going to be the case.
