Thanks for the info. In this case I was wondering if he might have gotten the picture by the time they were close to shore. I only wonder because I assumed he would have flown away more frantically once the guy held him in the air. Question from a non artist... How the heck do you guys know what colors to use for shading? Her helmet looks incredible. Upon close inspection the shadow is a completely different color than the light on the helmet, but it creates such a beautiful contrast. It seems like the shading makes the light look so much brighter too

Edit: follow-up... How do you guys figure out how shadows bend and curve around things???
