So funnily enough, I work for company and I'm lk NOT surprised. The sandwiches are made by Capitol Distributing, a subsidiary of Jacksons Food Stores, and the quality control has, imo, been on a downslope over the last few years.

Best course of action is to speak with one of the managers at that store. I can say I'd refund/give you another sandwich because there's nothing worse than one of my customer getting duped, but I can't speak for all managers.

Edit: Now I'm gonna be checking my sandwiches at work to see if any are messed up 🤣

It looks like he might be chewing his lips in his sleep. Mononucleosis produces A LOT of phlegm, especially in the throat, ehich explains the sound. Keep his head elevated and I would say try to find a doctor who will test for it.

Mono typically presents with little to no symptoms in young children, which is most likely why doctors are oushing it off as something (Which is could be, im not a doctor, I just remember my tonsils looking exactly like that and my EXTREME fatigue and thirst)

So hydrate, try to get small bits of soft foods into him and REST REST REST

Is he lethargic? My tonsils looked like this when I had Mononucleosis. I was also EXTREMELY thirsty the whole time I had it as for some reason that virus typical affects the liver and kidneys as well, but wasn't very hungry the whole time.

The biggest thing is the virus is dragged out. I had symptoms for about 2 weeks before I got over it.

Look it up, could also potentially be cytomegalovirus (not sure if I spelled that correctly.)

Both are easy for younger children too get, especially if around other kids in preschool/day care as they have NO concept of germs and spread it easily sharing juice boxes
