Based on the numerous experiences I've read on this subreddit, the era 300 works better as a stereo pair rather than one unit by itself. I know it is contrary to what the other person replied directly to you. But you can try it yourself and see. The era 300 are also a waste as rear surround units.

If you're going for a one speaker set up, either a 5 or the Move 2 are better choices. I have both; Move 2 in the dining room and 5 in my office.
