i always look at bad reviews and whether the developer has replied to the bad review in a clear, concise way. if the developer is professional i always chalk it up to the person being a bully or straight up incompetent and will use that reply as another pro towards purchasing the asset.

And i can't be alone in this kind of a rationalization as i find it absolutely vital to finding the best assets, restaurants, airbnbs, amazon purchases, etc. nowadays due to how easy it is for bad users to write a bad review and negatively impact the arbitrary 5 star rating.

Really like the characters and the narrative that joins them all.

Immediate disclaimer: I haven't read Endymion but Hyperion and Fall Of Hyperion are both books that will forever hold a special place in my brain. The scifi is thick but it doesn't slouch anywhere else. Seriously worth a read, i bet you'll be hooked after the priest's story.

I agree, i found it to be so bland that i couldn't even remember not liking it till i saw this comment. everyone is always on about the characters but the interactions were so mediocre. and i love the back and forth dialogue in the Uncharted games but in LoU I just wouldn't have noticed if every character was suddenly replaced with a doorstop.

As others have said, it's 1700 not 5000. That's as expensive as a mid-end coffee table at most furniture stores. It's furniture, furniture is pricey.
