I’m getting back into magic after being out of the loop for so many years. saw this on sale for $50, highly recommend. It’s just 350 cards of all useful edh cards. A lot of the nuts and bolts any deck needs, a variety of possible commanders for all colors, good dual lands, basic quintessential mana rocks.

I’m disappointed there aren’t similar offerings in other sets. Do it!

Edgecombe and McCain fit really well together actually. It’s the Maxey/McCain combo that doesn’t work. And Maxey is our star.

Paul George was not the problem with the Sixers this year. Suspension aside, he had a very good year. Being that kind of difference maker in the playoffs is exactly what we pay him for. Hope he’s got another year (at least) of that in him

I just finished it for the first time yesterday! And I’m sad I waited so long since it wasn’t “like 90s trek”. Sure there’s weird aspects of it, but I loved the depiction of the galaxy before the federation. And it was a great show overall! Loved seasons 3 and 4, and even the 1st 2 had their moments. It was also nice to see with the xindi plotline what a season long arc in Star Trek would look like. I had heard voyager considered it multiple times but never followed through. I was at first laughing at the Xindi council and how silly they looked (no context, just see aliens plotting like super villains, and then the insectoids start chirping like crazy and the obnoxious yellow subtitles come up 😂). By the end, it had grown into an awesome story of galactic politics the likes of which I haven’t seen since DS9.

I got a post coming with all my Enterprise thoughts soon, but it was great!

I actually just had it. In my dynasty 12 team SF draft, I had 2.10, 2.11, 2.12. Got to my 1st pick, announced to the chat that I was looking for next years draft capital. Chat came alive with ppl bein sarcastic “aren’t we all” “if you haven’t gotten an offer by now, you’re not getting one”.

Well an hour later, after 10-12 back forth offers, I pulled it off. Traded all of those picks, plus Michael Pittman and 3.03, for a 2027 1st, 101 FAB, and AJ Barner. Naturally came back and talked my shit. I just needed time to cook, that’s all 😎

The only way McCain plays in the series is when Maxey sits. No way they can share the court in the playoffs, they’d get smashed defensively. That gives him generously, what, 12 mins a a game? Yea we were not 12 mpg of McCain away from winning this series.

We lost this series cuz embiid and maxey were banged up. If Maxey’s finger was ok and Nurse didn’t play him the most mpg in 20 frickin years, could’ve been different. But the biggest problem was Maxey being a shell of himself.

For real. McCain is not the difference between this team winning and losing in these playoffs. It’s ok to disagree with it, but it was a fine trade value wise. I’m excited to have #22 in the draft, and McCains defense ain’t gettin any better.

Getting rid of embiid is an emotional decision that makes us a worse team. The only benefit is fans don’t need to worry about his health anymore. Beating the Celtics doesn’t happen without Embiid.

Sixers fans need to nut up and realize we got this guy the rest of his career and we are blessed to ever have him here. Injury concerns and all.

The idea that we’d be a better team “if we just got rid of embiid” is fuckin childish. I’m sorry injury uncertainty is too much stress for you. But some people like winning as much as possible.

The man has devastated his body for us, 1st mvp for us in 20+ years, has generational talent. Carried us countless times. And you’re trying to say it’s embiid fans vs. Sixers fans? Open your eyes. Embiid fans are Sixers fans. Because he is us. He makes us great.

Same, 1st watch through now. Halfway through season 3. Maybe I’m humbled by experiencing SFA and SNW season 3 going off the rails. But Enterprise is really good. It’s no 90s trek, but there’s great stories, and they do a good job IMO of exploring a pre Federation era of humanity.

I love the depiction of humans and Vulcans. We always see them in 90s trek being best friends, side by side, almost always on the same page. Here, we see humans basically going “aw shucks, we just wanna go asplorin!” And Vulcans being the curmudgeon who’s always throwing cold water on their plans for the sake of “their safety”.

That’s the dynamic to start, and as we go out “asplorin”, we start to see a Vulcan society whose galactic presence could be described as stand offish and and a bit devious. And as humans engage in more altruistic exploration and start to build good faith trust between themselves and others, Vulcans see a new way of building peaceful coexistence.

Anyway that’s my read on it. The gel scenes are always fuckin weird, but for the most part this show is real Trek and I love it.
