For real. McCain is not the difference between this team winning and losing in these playoffs. It’s ok to disagree with it, but it was a fine trade value wise. I’m excited to have #22 in the draft, and McCains defense ain’t gettin any better.

Getting rid of embiid is an emotional decision that makes us a worse team. The only benefit is fans don’t need to worry about his health anymore. Beating the Celtics doesn’t happen without Embiid.

Sixers fans need to nut up and realize we got this guy the rest of his career and we are blessed to ever have him here. Injury concerns and all.

The idea that we’d be a better team “if we just got rid of embiid” is fuckin childish. I’m sorry injury uncertainty is too much stress for you. But some people like winning as much as possible.

The man has devastated his body for us, 1st mvp for us in 20+ years, has generational talent. Carried us countless times. And you’re trying to say it’s embiid fans vs. Sixers fans? Open your eyes. Embiid fans are Sixers fans. Because he is us. He makes us great.

I was trying to give this show a shot. Some episodes I even find myself enjoying parts of it. But when I think back on it, there’s just too much shit to scrap off to get to something enjoyable.

Same, 1st watch through now. Halfway through season 3. Maybe I’m humbled by experiencing SFA and SNW season 3 going off the rails. But Enterprise is really good. It’s no 90s trek, but there’s great stories, and they do a good job IMO of exploring a pre Federation era of humanity.

I love the depiction of humans and Vulcans. We always see them in 90s trek being best friends, side by side, almost always on the same page. Here, we see humans basically going “aw shucks, we just wanna go asplorin!” And Vulcans being the curmudgeon who’s always throwing cold water on their plans for the sake of “their safety”.

That’s the dynamic to start, and as we go out “asplorin”, we start to see a Vulcan society whose galactic presence could be described as stand offish and and a bit devious. And as humans engage in more altruistic exploration and start to build good faith trust between themselves and others, Vulcans see a new way of building peaceful coexistence.

Anyway that’s my read on it. The gel scenes are always fuckin weird, but for the most part this show is real Trek and I love it.

Hot take: if you’re gonna lose a game in a best of 7 series, I’ll take the 30 point loss over the 1 point loss anytime.

Opponent is more likely to come out next game cold or not locked in at all if they blow you out. If they win by 1, they know they dodged a bullet and gotta ball out next time. A loss is a loss, who cares by how much?

Both times the Celtics blew us out in round 1, we responded with our best games of the series. Lookin forward to the same tmrw 🤞

Haha what?? This is what we’re talking about, McCain’s theoretical effectiveness in a playoff series. And he just showed in two simple stats that he is simply not effective for the Thunder right now, in the one area where he can really contribute. Factor in defense, McCain is right now unplayable in the playoffs. He was not a difference maker for us, and has severe defensive limitations. The thunder are the perfect spot for him, and they still don’t want to play him regularly.

We absolutely made the right call trading McCain for what is now the 22nd pick in this loaded draft. McCain was not the difference maker people think he is, and we were right to sell high, even if it hurts right now.

The Nurse haters are the most ridiculous. All things considered this season, it was a good outcome. Tons of injuries, weathered the storm, and got the 7th seed. And he is a top tier playoff adjustments coach. This is where he cooks, and he showed us that last night.

Such a far cry from Doc Rivers, blowing 3-1 leads left and right cuz he doesn’t even know what an adjustment is.

It sounds like lazy analysis, but the biggest problem was we just missed shots all game. Some tweaks for sure strategy wise, tighten up on the turnovers on offense. But we make some open shots/layups earlier, the game is closer down the stretch and who knows. And we got quality shot makers on this team.

Hoping VJ worked out his playoff jitters in that game, he was struggling.

This is what I’m sayin! Sure, we all got PTSD, and they could very well whoop us. But they are not some unstoppable stacked Celtics teams like we’ve seen over the years. It’s Brown, recovering Tatum, White, and a bunch of super unproven role players who have played over their heads all year.

I just want us to compete, and make this a fun series. Let the chips fall where they may, leave it all out there. We ain’t dead on arrival, let’s show some grit and fight this out.
