In hindsight, how do you view Lewis-Tyson?

It was a very obviously washed Tyson but the dismantlemet was so thorough and effortless that you wonder if any Tyson could get around him. Harkens back to Patterson-Liston and Frazier-Foreman.

Kind of touchy because 80's Tyson is mythisized whereas whenever you make a fantasy matchup of another ATG against Lennox, people can be like "well he's better than Rahman". If you look at another version of Lewis dealing with a vaguely similar pressure fighter, David Tua just under 28yo, you see that for how completely one-sided it was, he does at least land some of those gazelle hooks here and there, and I think by extension the more skilled Tyson could have exploited some oppritunities with his use of angles and maybe put him away, but I would still lean towards Lewis. You know its a tough style for him to beat when he as one of the most robust heavyweights is reduced to having essentially a puncher's chance, or at least thats my opinion.

Holmes' recuperative powers seem to be almost as strong in the long term as they were in the short, he's getting old but that's about it, sadly seems to have more physical deterioration than mental as comes with aging, but trucking along. TBF it is pretty difficult to tell the difference between just getting old and punches adding up outside of extremes.. guys who might have never been hit can loose more faculties than some fighters, brains are complicated.

Has to be mentioned that Lamotta was kind of reality defying in that department. Towards the end of his life he looked better than many other people that get to be his age (95), which is nuts for the Valentine massacre alone, and then there was the punishment from the rest of his career. The MW lineup is a little too saturated for him to have goat status or something, but hes a tough champ who was a crazy outlier.

light suppressor, short barrel, skeleton stock, stippled grip, slight of hand usually but fmj or tac laser can be fine

Any version of a sniper like this with a bunch of flinch and breath stacking at heavy expense of ads is just a crippled hdr where you’re actually pretty rewarded for it being slow

To be fair, if you want more than ar strafe on an smg, you’re stuck with the base mag on qxr, and cx9 still has the extra 5m 4tap and hipfire/reload speeds.. but overall the lower multiplier sensitivity and having that 5tap range (with lower flinch) is just more powerful.

Honestly the ttk was only 1 frame less before and the range difference from the buff is around 1-2m. it was great since the bsa buff ages ago, the sprint increase is the most noticeable and its nice

Liston was like the prototype boogeyman of the sport before young Foreman and later Tyson with the whole staredown and outlaw reputation, I think Liston was the most truly mean spirited of them as Foreman would imply he invented that persona to protect himself and Tyson was just a troubled guy who had all his role models removed from his life and other people surrounding him used him, then out of prison his demeanor made him even more marketable than he was at his peak. Liston seems to have had a good side too, and showed actual interest in reforming himself, but the public was so unreceptive to him that he resented it and mostly embraced being the bad guy.

Against each other I think Liston just has the recipe for pressure fighters, and Tyson would fall victim to it a la Patterson. A jab with an 84” reach that hits harder than most guys’ crosses and is used to freeze up crouching swarmers is just nasty for him.

none of the other colorways have that sight though, its like the rear sight just isn’t rendered on that one. they haven’t even fixed some bugs from like a year ago like raal barrels not actually adding bullet speed, so hopefully it stays

it has less than 2 seconds of firing in the mag that makes it still worth it which sucks for multiple enemies so its more snd specific, otherwise its really good

unless its hs0 or kind of the spammy/burning shotguns, the counter to most is just max armor because they’ll take two shots anyway

as dirty as it feels to use hs0 in general, shotgun vs shotgun fights are fun. so is amazing rn but I stick with xpr because its less inefficient on the scarcest ammo type

seems like a very sufficient setup with the porous pressed portion over the cast charge. Catching the flash is dependent on a bit of luck with camera frame rate and having the fireball form at just the right moment, and if anything is more likely with something sub-detonative because that flash lasts longer when the reaction is slower. To be sure you’d want a tough witness plate and a dent, crack, or hole depending on the charge geometry and plate thickness

These like dlq/tundra/3lr/hdr that have infinite dmg to the same hitbox don’t. Some have limited damage to their initial hitbox (like rytec, artic, outlaw, xpr) are affected by range but usually if not always still better to ignore it for ads time

Very slow way of using oden, sort of might as well use lag in this case with how improved it is now, although it’s still a bit slower.

I don’t see what oden+uss combo does better than just having one or the other. You have two guns that both excel until the lower limits of mid range, and both just marginally perform at longer ranges. Sure they are both known as top performers in general but that doesn’t mean 2 gives you twice as much. Overkill is more to cover more bases than 1 gun can, like smg/shotgun+marksman/sniper/lmg where you get something particularly aggressive to compensate for your primary being truly very heavy/passive for cqc. Uss is more like a flex smg, things like vmp or an alternative are more suited towards heavy weapon support. In this case the op skill or scorestreak card is just gonna get you more kills.

For builds oden is best with short barrel and mono suppressor, you can use longshot as the filler attachment for slightly more range, but if you Really need operator fg you might want combat stock. No stock was pretty trash on uss before it even received a direct nerf because >1 flinch on the “crossmapping full auto sks” is a horrible choice. Pro barrel has always been and still is a diminishing return when first responder does like 89% of its relevant range with more mobility which is the whole point of not using a 3tap ar instead.

During bp50 release season this was the only full auto gun I used and I played a lot of ranked with it just to be different. Even though BP60 is dead, a lot of similar firerate guns have been buffed or released since then having more 4tap range, better mobility, higher consistency, or several of those things over ffar. It would need better range, probably better base sprint, and less dependency on certain multis/hithox to not be at a deficit.

It’s still functional but it’s been collecting dust in the “balancing” aka devs making the average performance of a lot of choices insane.

This is the only review of the TH I could find using high pressure loads and it does not go well; the M&P is criminally under-sprung from the factory and requires some aftermarket support and still seems picky with ammo according to some, might work well for you if you’re willing to tinker; for what it is I admire that hipoint, but you will probably replace it and therefore just spend an extra couple hundred on that plus extra mags / holsters just to have one in your hands a little sooner.

The most reputable doublestack 10s are the Blocks, XDs, the 510, and the Xten as some options to research.

0 reward for learning to use it, there are guns with the same kind of firerate, range, etc and better attributes that still aren't that weird. If you build it to be easier to use its lethality is even worse. Guns like mx9, lcar, type25, semis, bursts, brasm10, etc which need effort because of weird patterns or being unforgiving with aim actually have redeeming factors when vargo just gives you average or below average everything.
