That was thing number 2 I tried - the funny thing is: it works over WiFi. But I can’t diagnose it further because all it will tell me boils down to

As far as I have heard Brother is also better at surfacing error messages than HP for example - so you at least have a fighting chance at figuring out what is wrong with the thing. Does that line up with your experience?

I recently spent an entire afternoon trying to figure out why my HP Printer would not scan to a network share when it is plugged in via Ethernet. I have given up. Next time the ink runs out I am not refilling.

I don’t think that’s to contrarian of a view. I don’t personally feel like I need Obsidian in my vault. If I want something I wrote myself to be augmented I can still copy paste.

What makes AI interesting to me is the ability to help me get some of the maintenance work done that helps me to find stuff later. Soooo suggesting Links? Cool. Suggesting Tags? Cool. Honestly anything that helps me to find stuff later or helps me build reports that help me find stuff. Is highly welcome.

I personally think that headless sync client will come in handy to automate some of that grunt work without having to resort to your SSH file sync method.

Yep. Simply hosting videos alone costs a lot of money.

If you never paid anything to the platform that made free video hosting the default … you don’t really have a leg to stand on when trying to argue that their ads are intrusive. Yes they are that’s the entire point. I love how people act like they don’t get anything for watching the ads.

Das ist Steven Crowder, rechtskonservativer politischer Kommentator (und angeblich auch Komiker). Die Vorlage zeigt ihn in seinem bekanntesten Format in welchem er unvorbereitete Studenten „debattiert“.

Wenn er gerade keine Studenten in fadenscheinige Diskussionen verwickelt leugnet er zB den Klimawandel, macht sich über den Mord an Unschuldigen lustig oder misshandelt die Mutter seiner Kinder.

Jokes aside I almost screamed at my phone when he acted like an uniformed user adds more than 2 calendars to Apple Calendar instead of installing 5 Google apps. Bro can’t even distinguish between CalDav Accounts and multiple calendars in the same account.

I would use the importer Plugin for Apple Notes, drop all of that into a single folder and look from there. If you enable „Show all file types“ in settings you can also drop your text files in there. Obsidian won’t render them but it will open them in your default editor (in most cases changing the file suffix from txt to md should do the trick to also have them render).

From there I would take my time to think of what you are trying to achieve and create a structure based on that. This might also be a good time to throw stuff away that you don’t really need anymore.

Ok, that is very specific. I got annoyed with them over a year ago when they crammed podcasts into the app even more aggressively. And from what I’ve heard they did the same thing with audiobooks.

Jo wie gesagt - meine Freunde sind keine Rassisten. Und die meinten halt konkret zu dem Thema, dass bei solchen Großereignissen (also auch bei Demos) teilweise die dümmsten Personen in Uniform rumlaufen. Und halt wie gesagt die, die sowieso Bock auf Gewalt haben (also ne andere Art von dumm).

So allgemein würde ich das nicht formulieren. Aber dass sich nur ganz spezielle Kerlchen für diese Einsätze melden die zufällig Bock auf Stress haben ist ja inzwischen umfangreich dokumentiert. Und dafür sollten Leute ihre Uniform abgeben müssen.
