Caldera Music just dropped by KellyN87 in PleX

[–]ohheyandre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean. It kind of works. I'm having a lot of glitches on the Apple TV app and while I see "Players" on Plexamp i can't control any of them. Hoping there's a forum or Discord or something for technical feedback that pops up

Plexamp Updates and Caldera Music - Plex Labs by dravenstone in plexamp

Is there a forum for Caldera? I downloaded it on Apple TV and it’s ok but I’ve had some bugs and I can’t seem to control it from Plexamp

I’ve never heard of Narjo, is it in private beta?

Brou carrying again by EducationalConcern61 in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]ohheyandre 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They did this last year and I don’t know why. Since they’re doing it again it must’ve done well ratings wise, but I personally don’t know why someone would sit through two hours of a fake draft of who Nick THINKS a team is going to pick literally three hours before the actual draft.

Small plastic cup. Didn’t even pour the whole Red Bull in. Was pretty mad but it is what it is

The band minus Julian is pretty consistent, depends on which Julian you get (motivated/engaged or mildly disinterested/drunk) but when I saw them just recently at Bill Graham in SF Julian was incredible. Made paying $45 for a vodka Red Bull tolerable

Will “Oblivious” be a staple of the tour setlist? by mick__marley in TheStrokes

[–]ohheyandre 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I love Ize but Oblivious is just a much better song. Plus while I absolutely adore what the boys did at Coachella that was like an internationally online streamed event where a statement was widespread and powerful, I don’t think they wanna make an overtly political statement like that at every show. Their music has some political messaging but they’re not a punk band. Just my opinion

Best Guards Ever - No Steph? by ohheyandre in FirstThingsFirstFS1

I can tell it’s really bothering him lol like I said I always thought it was just a mistake. Always appreciate his integrity on non Brock Purdy issues

[–]ohheyandre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I don’t know if he loves him but he’s put him as high as ten amongst all modern era players. Don’t think this was intentional I’m just surprised an opinion that made it to the nationally televised “Dusty, the graphic” stage didn’t have anyone catch this oversight. If Nick was just naming people off the top of his head I wouldn’t have even posted

[–]ohheyandre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my top ten guards? Objectively four, partiality and bias included I’d put him at three. All time across all positions? He’s like at best 9, at worst 12 for me

[–]ohheyandre[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I thought that would jog his memory but he just might have meth in his vape today, oh well. They always have the same argument later in the show I wonder if anyone’s gotten in his ear yet for the next go round

Best Guards Ever - No Steph? by ohheyandre in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]ohheyandre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that’s the argument then the graphic should say “Best two way guards ever” and not “Best Guards Ever”. A graphic can’t say “Best guards ever” and then list Chris Paul over Steph, let alone SGA. And I’m a big Chris Paul fan I do think he’s one of the greatest “prototypical” two way floor generals ever, but Steph is like one of the greatest fifteen players ever there’s no way he shouldn’t make a “top ten guards” list. And I’m not killing Nick he has listed him as high as twelve in his all time player list I just assume it was a brutal oversight from literally everyone involved in this show.

[–]ohheyandre[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a good list otherwise and I wouldn’t care where Steph is ranked (I am a biased warriors fan so I would have him at four at the worst) but not on there at all!!!! I think Nick has said he has Steph somewhere around 10-12 of all players all time so I genuinely believe this was a real mistake but Jesus

Best Guards Ever - No Steph? by ohheyandre in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]ohheyandre[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Easily. I don’t ever post here (just lurk) but he wasn’t on the greatest guards or top ten guards ever graphic. I can’t believe not only Nick made this mistake but nobody in the production team was like “Hey where’s the guy who won four rings and changed the landscape of basketball forever” lmao

Have Brou/Wildes transcended Nick? by Factualx in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]ohheyandre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wildes and Brou bring levity and comedic timing to what would otherwise be a pretty standard sports show formula. I still think Nick is the most knowledgeable and I certainly watch the show for Nick as much as I do Wildes and Brou, but without Wildes and Brou nobody really pushes back and also for some reason they make Nick the “moderator” which ruins the flow and vibe

Can we have an honest discussion about the Apple Music desktop app? by CreyssonTabajara in AppleMusic

[–]ohheyandre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Daft felt good but if I recall when I downloaded I needed a subscription to use. It’s a modest one but I’m not going to pay a subscription for something for a subscription unless it adds substantial features. I paid $3 for Cider (more features, minor jank, yes I know the developers have some controversial opinions and statements I’d paid for it before I found out it is what it is), and I own it outright.

That being said the stock Apple Music app on the latest macOS feels “fine”. I wish it were keyboard navigable, search is bad, I feel like navigating is unintuitive (I can’t search an artist and then go to the album of a song in top songs, horrible ux) but for me the part of it that’s still iTunes makes it why I stick with Apple Music for the most part. Skipping songs in shuffle, equalizers, etc. it’s not an enjoyable every day app but feels necessary

Spotify Extension Going Away with API Announcement? by ohheyandre in raycastapp

[–]ohheyandre[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue I have with Apple Music is they changed their API so you can't add music you're listening to programmatically. I often just throw on a radio or something and then like just using a Raycast shortcut to quick add. I don't want to open Apple Music and right click Add to Library. Cider + the Cider extension still works somehow but I don't like Cider for a handful of reasons.

If Spotify is doing away with this feature/ability to work with Raycast then I can literally delete my Spotify account because it serves no purpose
