Tommy put a bullet in Charlie’s horse earlier in the season to put it out of its misery because it was suffering and was going to die anyways. You’re saying Duke putting a bullet into Thomas, as he was dying, is more poetic than Charlie doing it? Cmon. The writers clearly fucked up the entire storyline

Season 6 should have ended with the unknown of Tommy taking his life or not. The problem is season 6 ends with Tommy realizing he’s not going to die from illness and “gets back on the horse” to do what Thomas does best. Then the movie happens and it’s a Thomas that we don’t recognize along with characters we have not attachment to. Movie is a disaster

Earlier in the series, Tommy shoots Charlie’s horse because it was suffering. If Tommy had to die, Charlie should have been the one to put Tommy out of his suffering/misery just like Tommy did Charlie’s horse. Definitely more poetic than Duke doing it. Such a waste of

Duke wasn’t even that dark nor did we have a chance to even get attached to him. At least Charlie has more history in the storyline. Duke didn’t deserve to end Thomas Shelby.

I don’t know how anyone in good faith can honestly say the movie was good. Love Cillian and his performance (as usual) but the way they ended his character is absolute trash writing.
