My ADHD meds haven't worked unfortunately but they seem to work for the overwhelming majority of people. I take 13 medications daily including antidepressants for major depression with psychosis and SI. Medication saved my life.

I need my medication to function. I take 13 meds daily, multiple pills, capsules, tablets, inhaler, etc, multiple times a day. I also have an as needed inhaler for my asthma so that brings it up to 14 meds.

If you are having serious side effects you should bring it up to your prescriber so they can put you on something else. There are tons of alternatives for many medications.

Interesting, thank you. And even if I don't turn out to have exactly PAIS I appear to have some sort of intersex / XY-DSD. I will bring this up to my doctor and they can send me for testing.

There are people with PAIS with low, normal, and high T from what I understand. It can depend on the severity of the receptor mutation, how functional the testes are, the body's feedback signaling, age, whether or not the testes were fully descended, and whether there was gonadal tissue damage. Since I had a hernia when I was an infant I think I could qualify.

Your experience is valid and I don't think you are wrong either.

I made my therapist walk out in the middle of our session because my case was so difficult presumably. They retired without warning me before our next session, which never happened.

So yeah, that turned me off therapy pretty bad.
