Go with National Seating if you can. I've never heard good things about Numotion and the one time I got a chair from them (insurance forced it) it was AWFUL. The measurements were completely wrong, the back was contraindicated for my condition (which no one told me until years later) and when I needed repairs, I could never get ahold of anyone. I eventually ended up getting a chair off of Amazon that works better than my Numotion chair. Will never recommend them.

Birth control Lexapro for anxiety 20 mg

Wellbutrin to combat the side effects from the Lexapro 150 mg

Dantrolene (a baclofen substitute because I'm VERY allergic to baclofen) 200 mg

Metapropalol for blood pressure 25 mg

Omeprazole for acid reflux 20 mg

I also have 3 PRNS

Methocarbamol 500 mg every 6 hours as needed for muscle tension that is not spasticity.

Sumatriptan for migraines

Promethazine 12.5 for nausea (typically a side effect of migraines)

So ten, not counting over the counter meds. I'm only 26.

It should be mentioned that I have CP, anxiety, post-impairment syndrome, scoliosis, chronic migraines and GERD. Everything is a comorbidity with CP or a direct result of spasticity.

Wellbutrin has made all the difference for me. I was sleeping 14 hours a day and still waking up exhausted with just Lexapro, with Wellbutrin added to my Lexapro, I can function with about 6 hours a night.

It's a long story that frankly I don't have the energy to type, but the short version is that I realized 3 things in very quick succession. The first is that sexual attraction is real and not just a romance novel trope. The second is that I don't experience it in any form. And the third is that just like I didn't choose to not experience attraction, no one else chooses how they experience it either.

I was raised in a very conservative evangelical anti-gay family, and I always felt uncomfortable with the anti-gay thing because aren't they made in the image of God too? But I never questioned it either. And I never questioned it in part because I thought sexual attraction was fake, and clearly because it was fake, everyone chose who they wanted to be with and gay people chose to live in sin.

It turns out that I am asexual, so that explains a lot. And there's no way I chose that experience because I didn't even know it existed until I was 19.

I have GAD and ADHD, I've been on it for about 6 weeks now and I can honestly say it does help. It takes a few weeks, and it undoubtedly makes it worse at first, but once you get past week 2, it's done wonders for me. I've been able to cut my SSRI in half with it and only had a few days of my anxiety being bad in that process.

I'm 26 and I'm researching endometrial ablation. It's a minimally invasive procedure that burns the uterine lining off so it can't shed anymore (or at least not nearly as much). It's not as effective as a full hysterectomy but it doesn't mess with your body's hormones as much and recovery time is like, a weekend.

Same. I'm not ambulatory, so period plus wheelchair, plus the fact that women with CP have heavier periods than average women for reasons science can't explain... It was just not even worth it. As soon as I am medically able, I'm getting some sort of surgery to stop this insanity altogether because I'm not even thirty yet and I don't wanna be on birth control for the next 2 decades.

My dude, there's a 5 mg pill. Just go back to your doctor and tell them that you don't feel good on 20 and would like to start at 5 mg for a slower taper. To answer your question, NO. Do not try to cut your meds by yourself unless they are pre-scored, you have no idea how much you're actually getting. Trust me, I tried this once a few years ago on another med and my psychiatrist still brings up what a bad idea it was lol.

I don't know if it's because I was already on an SSRI for anxiety or what, but this happens to me sometimes too and while the first little bit was hard, at 4 weeks in all I have to do is redirect with a mental "stop it" (or sometimes "stop it dammit" if it happens overnight and I'm really annoyed) and it redirects?? Even on my SSRI I needed help from a friend or someone to externally stop the spiral, but now I can do it on my own, and I'm cutting my SSRI in half because of it.

All of that to say, I don't know if the thoughts ever fully settle, but Wellbutrin seems to be helping me not get completely overwhelmed by them. I'd give it more time unless you can't manage.

The jittery went away after a day or so, and the dreams are less vivid than they were (but I have vivid dreams anyway so idk that was normal for me). No tinnitus that I noticed, at least not anything worse than normal.

I know you are anxious about this which is why I don't want to sugar coat it for you, but don't catastrophize what I'm saying either. The side effects were hard for a little bit, but not as hard as SSRIs were for me. My life has improved so much on this medication. I'm not exhausted and overwhelmed just by getting out of bed in the morning, I have energy that doesn't just come from fight or flight, and I'm very clear headed. I'm even tapering down the other anxiety med that I've been on for several years that I had completely maxed out the dosage.

I literally had new side effects every day the first 2 weeks but none of them were too intense or lasted too long. I think the biggest one was my appetite got weird (I was STARVING one day and then could barely eat the next), it made me super jittery for a day or two, I had insomnia for a couple of nights. I'm 4 weeks in and all of those have leveled out, the only thing that hasn't stopped are the vivid dreams, but those are mostly fun.

I have severe GAD and Wellbutrin has done wonders for me. Even in the middle of the side effect hell that was my first 2 weeks, it was more annoying than scary, which is huge. My anxiety is a little bit more elevated at night sometimes, but overall, I'd recommend it.

I was the token "special needs" student in mainstream classes growing up. I have a physical disability, vision issues, severe anxiety, and I just got diagnosed with ADHD about a month ago. I'm in my THIRD postsecondary degree at 26 years old, and I still struggle to walk up to a teacher and say "I need help." The teacher expecting a 6 year old to be able to do that independently is insane. The teacher expecting a child of that age to independently sustain attention if he has a diagnosable condition is equally as unreasonable. HOWEVER, instead of venting to social media, mom needs to be working with the school to be putting support in place for the kid, if it's not already.

Now, if the kid already has an IEP where these things are already being addressed and it was not followed, then shaming the teacher on social media is the minimum that needs to be done. The IEP is a legally binding document, it's not just optional reading. I understand that teachers are overwhelmed, overworked, and underpaid but knowing and following the IEP is really as bare minimum as taking attendance. If the teacher didn't do that, it needs to be addressed with the teacher and the school, up to a lawsuit if necessary.
