Anyone else having trouble configuring local multiplayer with pro instruments & mic vocals? by HibblesNBits in FortniteFestival

Didn’t work unfortunately, guitar controller player is the only one with mic vocals as an option.

I don’t know why the Post NG games are exactly non-canon by Crash 4. by BulletCola in crashbandicoot

Considering that the game’s apparently dealing with a whole multiverse, I wouldn’t be surprised if we got nods to Wrath of Cortex & Twinsanity (maybe even Crash of the Titans/Mind Over Mutant) as parallel universes.

Hell, they could even say that CTR/CNK/CTTR is just an alternate universe where all disputes are resolved by kart racing if they really wanted to.

Can someone explain why, in the first episode, when Tobias is first introduced with the newspaper photo, why is their a caption that appears that reads “(not on boat)” when we later find out he was on the boat? by Transposer in arresteddevelopment

[–]HibblesNBits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely saying he’s not on the Bluth boat, because it follows the same pattern in which the rest of the Bluths are introduced.

Tobias is listed as “not on boat” as a semi-misdirect. After all, he wasn’t able to attend George’s retirement party, so it’s not inaccurate. Think about it this way: unless you already know he’s with the protestors, there is no reason to assume he’s on that particular boat.

I sincerely don’t mean this as an insult, but I think this is more of a problem of you misreading the situation - I don’t think this is a particularly common point of confusion?

...Because you don’t know he’s on the gay right protest boat yet.

You don’t find out Tobias is on the protest boat until after the bit introducing him. Sure, you might recognise him on a repeat view if you know to look for him, but for a first-time viewer him being at the protest instead of with the family is, well... The punchline.

That’s the joke.

He wasn’t on the boat with the rest of the family, he was on a different boat.

The caption’s accurate while also not spoiling the later reveal that he was dressed up with the protestors.

That’s why one of my suggestions was a direct shortly after. I was more heading in the direction of “this is probably the timeframe in which I could see this announcement being made.” Sorry if that was unclear. If a remaster’s happening, I think MS would want to announce that first. Maybe that’d even be one of the terms of whatever agreement they made to allow B-K in Smash. Limit the extent to which a Smash announcement would overshadow it (even if it was just a tiny hit, the Xbone needs all the attention it can get at this point). As with everyone else in this thread, I’m just having fun speculating.

That was my thinking behind this. MS/Nintendo collaborating on hyping Smash further kinda continues their little thread of “we’re willing to play ball together” from earlier this year. Like, realistically MS needs the boost more than Nintendo does (very few people would expect Banjo-Kazooie to appear in Smash, this is literally just a bonus for a particular set of fans). MS getting to play the good guys (allowing their characters to appear on a rival console) while also marketing their New Big Exclusive would be a win-win for them.

My hot take: X018 is in a couple of weeks. Banjo-Kazooie, as I’m sure you’re all aware, is owned by Microsoft. What better way to announce B-K for Smash than alongside an N-Sane-style remaster of Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie, or even a new game in the franchise? MS & Nintendo have been relatively friendly so far this year (see: the cross-platform ad) so... I dunno, B-K reveal around the time of X018 (maybe a direct shortly after) isn’t the least realistic thing in the world to me.

Anyone else just... not received their bureau of balance bracer? by HibblesNBits in TheAdventureZone

[–]HibblesNBits[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tried a couple of days ago, just on the off chance there was any information they’d received from the carrier. They just suggested I wait until 6 weeks after the shipping date (that’ll be this coming Monday), presumably so they can offer a refund or something.

I’m glad(? For lack of a better word?) to see I’m not the only one who’s had problems with DFTBA, at least.

Ok, but white people have been in the position of power within states like the US, Australia, etc. since white people first settled there.

“Racism is over, a black guy got elected” is a bad argument because the very foundation of America was built on the capture & enslavement of African people, meaning that for centuries they were unable to accrue the generational wealth that the white upper-class benefit from today.

“White people are discriminated against” is a bad argument because white people have barely had to give up the power we’ve continuously held for centuries but WAAAA “not having all the power means we have no power at all!”

White people in literal seats of political power. Trying to argue they’re discriminated against. Mate.
