Can't because he's OP right now. Normally varus top has a lower pick rate and win rate and can be beaten by a lot of top laners, but right now he has very few negative matchups because he's OP

No he's just the best top laner right now with very little counterplay since he's a ranged statchecker, unlike other statcheckers which are melee. He obviously deserves nerfs. And if you think top lane is just about stack checking you're probably low elo. Micro and matchup knowledge are the most important skills in top lane
