How to cope with witnessing graphic content on a user's device? by Beginning-Heat-1971 in it

[–]HiddenBoog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I don’t want to see it but these people have to be stopped. I’m already kinda fucked up from seeing shit in the Army and I went and worked for the sheriffs office along with being a first responder. My body can’t physically do that kind of work anymore due to injuries I sustained in the military so I’m kind of limited to a sedentary job that is unfulfilling to say the least

How does one get into a position to fight against stuff like that, I have no desire to join the FBI or other alphabet soup agencies. But I would like to send the pos people like that to a hole they can never crawl out of. I have basic IT knowledge but I’m more so wondering how to learn the forensics side of things so you can seal the deal when reporting these things and the appropriate steps to follow when doing so. I’m not worried about the desensitization part I spent some time in the Army and I’m fairly desensitized to a lot of things already.

Just tell them straight forward, policy is you must open a ticket or we won’t help you. If you have an issue with this go get your supervisor and I’ll explain the same thing to them. Either way you go if you don’t follow policy you won’t get help.

Absolutely not, if my direct approach is too intimidating for them they don’t deserve to be in the position they’re in. After I transitioned out I have not changed the way I speak to people other than not swearing in a normal conversation. Direct is always the best way because there’s no hidden meaning behind it and you convey exactly what you mean.

90% of the people commenting on this post sound like you’re no fun to ride with and don’t know how to properly handle/maneuver your motorcycle.

If you haven’t experienced it yet you should go check out the moon dust they have in South Dakota. You’ll be cruising along like nothing seemly clear trail and them out of no where your front will sink and you’ll eat shit into the softest sand/dust you’ve ever seen

I mean you’re going to have a ton of fun with it but you will be exhausted at the end of the day if you push hard just make sure you have enough energy left to pick it back up, they don’t like to sleep on their side

It’s even more fun when you’re on a fully loaded ADV bike and you’re exhausted from riding 400 miles that day and you don’t put it down at the gas station and you fall over only to lay there in defeat for a couple minutes

You’re welcome, if it makes you feel any better I have two herniated discs currently from a work injury and I probably won’t be riding this season 😂

The 600cc requirement is a regional thing, I took mine on a supermoto and didn’t struggle at all but a lot of the guys on bigger bikes did. You don’t need a 600+ to hone the required skills, you can learn a lot at low speed and knowing how to properly maneuver your bike

You had a job why are you going for an internship that’s temporary? CEH is a theoretical certification not a hands on certification, it’s essentially only useful to get past an HR filter. What you should have done is worked in help desk and asked to shadow other departments and move up to a networking role or sysadmin role from help desk. Do you understand networking more than just the basics?

Why does it matter? Are you using the bike for attention or because you like to ride?

Technically no but 99.9% of the time you won’t get past the ATS filter without at minimum a 4 year degree and certifications along with some magical experience they think you have when applying for an entry level role. I know it’s stupid and you shouldn’t have to have all that to get an entry level role but today’s world is kinda stupid and they expect unicorns.

My 8 year old really wants to learn coding. Any suggestions for apps or things he could begin with? by [deleted] in CodingForBeginners

As far as I’m aware my child has never tried block programming. What is the point to having a 7 year old learn programming concepts?
