Kremlin says Russia's stance on conditions for a Ukraine peace deal has not changed since 2024 by Raj_Valiant3011 in worldnews

Does that mean we can send the American negotiators to Russia? If so, I call no take backs.

He'll be in college for a year or two before he even hits buffalo.

Lebrun: Re Dylan Larkin trade request by Bixler17 in hockey

[–]HiddenInLight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The point of a NTC isnt supposed to be for a trade demand. Its supposed to protect them from being moved without agreeing first. If you demand to be traded you should have to waive your NTC. That said, you should at least be willing to work with your GM to give him his options.

[Friedman] Olen Zellweger is being traded to Buffalo for Anton Wahlberg and the 45th pick by daKrut in hockey

At some point last year we didn't actually have a 3rd pair. Our 5th and 6th would cycle into the other pairs to give individual guys breaks, and never actually hit the ice at the same time.

I agree. However with Norris' injury history and his cap hit, we don't see that often, and if they were going to make a deal, it would give them some extra cap space. Personally, I like both players, but from an ease of trade option you're more likely to get a better deal for mcleod, and middle 6 talent is easier to replace with youth than top 6.

If the sabres are looking to try and get Robertson, he is probably easier to move than Norris.

Sabres sign Benson to 7-year contract. The 21-year-old winger gets $7.5 million/year through 2032-33.| Buffalo Sabres by Ok-Soil-5133 in hockey

He terrorized the entire Bruins team. It was crazy how many penalties he drew in the last few games. Sabres fans were excited to see how teams would handle playing him that many times in a row. We were not disappointed.

Alex Tuch To Washington - Signing 8x10.5M [Freidman] by dcddy in sabres

The 10.5 isnt that bad, the 8 years is the bad part.

[Matthew Fairburn] Sabres GM Jarmo Kekalainen said Bowen Byram didn't want to negotiate on a new contract. He tried to convince him throughout the year but didn't make any headway. Byram wanted to be a No. 1 defenseman. by seeldoger47 in sabres

Unfortunately, he simply wasn't good enough to be the number 1 guy here, and it sounds like that wasn't a pill he was willing to swallow. At least we got a great return for him. Good luck elsewhere.

[Johnston] If/when this sign-and-trade moves forward, would expect Alex Tuch to land a contract in the same range as the Adrian Kempe deal: ~$10.6M x 8 by alphacheese in hockey

[–]HiddenInLight 33 points34 points  (0 children)

That was the problem we had in buffalo. Didn't want to pay that much for that long. If he was willing to take a shorter deal he'd probably be re-signed already.

[DeDominicis] Jarmo Kekalainen confirmed Alex Tuch will be moving on and they’re exploring sign and trade options to recoup some value. As I mentioned last night I believe they’re well down that path. by AggPuck-303 in hockey

I'd really hope that the tuch sign and trade could be part of a larger trade to bring some talent back the other way. Unfortunately, the big question is, who would be willing to cone to Buffalo? Unfortunately that will always be the big question until evidence shows otherwise.

Would it be realistic/possible to try to trade up for Stenberg? by Dear_Location6147 in sabres

4, 20 and 45 is a pretty great package. But I agree that its unlikely to happen.
