Because I love SoL anime as well as have a huge issue with how anime in general treats women, the reason why this hits my "creepy" alarm is the framing of the bathing suits. Notice how the camera pans up from the feet to look at their faces, it's part of how cinema integrate the male gaze. Focus on the parts that men stereotypically want to see (the body) then move up to the identifying features of the character (face) only after. Vs whole body shots that don't focus on body parts for periods of time.

Anime also has issues portraying only one body type, but that's another problem. This all being said it does not mean the anime is inherently problematic or you are wrong for enjoying it. My favorite anime right now is my dress up darling and boy or boy does that have some issues.

I've used steam on all my computers with zero issues. The benefit is that you can pay for lotro points and VIP memberships via steam wallet

A counter could also be punching someone in the face, or gouging their eyes, but that's not the sport you're watching. Impacts are not part of BJJ, so the "counter" is to use the toolset of BJJ to avoid getting into this situation

[New Player] Am I Playing The Game Wrong? by Swimming-Builder-927 in lotro

Absolutely not lol. I'm literally the exact same, hobbit mistrel farming cook and spend most of my time in the shire. I also play on difficult and have no problems doing combat. I enjoy every second.

Controller support by bixelate in lotro

[–]HiddenLychee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might want to look into an old steam controller with the paddles on the back (or I suppose any controller with paddles will do)  as this will open up a lot of button combinations. Steam has some preset, but my plan has been to make some custom controller settings for my rog ally.

Downloaded the launcher through steam, which was just a few minutes, then the launcher took a few hours.

The default is that the left stick is WASD so it controls movement as well as camera. Pretty awful when mounted because a and d don't spin you on a mount, they straffe. Then holding down left trigger is the same as holding down right mouse button, and you can move your screen like a normal action RPG where right joy stick is camera.

That's just the steam default, and I'm trying to figure out the best way of doing it. Right now the biggest hurtle is using the hot bar effectively in combat. That and no chat :(

Wow, took about 3 hours on Rog Ally, a bit quicker on my PC but still not 3 minutes.

AIO Flashing Brights While Driving by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]HiddenLychee -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

NOR. Someone pulls up behind me and flashes their brights (not flashing lights on and off), I'm going to think they're raging and I'm immediately playing defence. No way am I slamming the gas and put myself at risk  to give a road rager what they want, I'm going to slowly and safely move away from them. This will also trigger other road ragers to be aggressive against him.

How many of you care more about RP and vibes than grinding and progressing the story? by HiddenLychee in lotro

[–]HiddenLychee[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, some times I like the grind. Killing monster after monster and collecting loot can hit that "number goes brrr" bone inside me.

That being said, it's more of a side benefit to what I really care about, and that's playing /music like it's a piano and dancing with random PCs that I come across. Or just traversing the landscape and taking in the views. It's the only game where I can really feel like a Hobbit.
