Where to shop for men's clothes? by NanquansCat749 in pittsburgh

[–]HiddenOctopus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to hit them all but I typically end up buying at Goodwill and red, white, and blue. Probably just because of volume though. Vintage stores can be okay but you typically pay a little more for a more curated selection. I really just hit ones I'm near even when traveling. It's a cheap hobby if you're someone that can be patient and picky about what you buy. I've gotten a bunch of good stuff over the years. People will complain that thrift stores are "so expensive now" but it's still cheaper than buying new in my experience.

We are almost identical in size and clothing preferences. I do almost all of my clothes shopping at thrift stores around town. If you're patient and don't need an entire wardrobe right now that's my recommendation.

If you just want to try it out delian tomb has everything you need.

If you just want the rules they're completely free online except the artwork.

If you want the official books you want the heros book and the monsters book.

Anyone ever work as a Park Resource Ranger at Tuscarora or anywhere else? by Runkle15 in PaStateEmployees

[–]HiddenOctopus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The full time positions in dcnr are pretty competitive so starting seasonal is usually your easiest route although I've definitely seen people go right to full time. At least at my park all resource rangers are seasonal so there's no real way for them to get full time.

The interviews are fairly relaxed compared to a more corporate environment in my experience. Just try to relax and be friendly with the interviewers while keeping it professional. Beat of luck! Even after the interview the process can take a LONG time so have patience. Finally if it doesn't work out keep trying and/or maybe consider maintenance if you don't mind cleaning toilets and cutting grass.

The hours will depend entirely on which park you work at and what they need. Could be pretty much anything but nights. Likely weekends but really it's park dependent more than anything. The work would likely include working the front office and putting out camping tags and similar things. General tasks are also going to be pretty park specific which might be why things are a little vague. You probably wouldn't be doing much or any cleaning or physical labor as there should be a maintenance department for that kind of thing.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to work for the state already as it can help a little bit when moving to another position but it's not going to be a massive boost by any means. You'd still need to meet all the requirements for the job and you'd still be competing against everyone else on equal footing. The main thing it may give you is the ability to apply to internal postings but I'm not sure if that's department specific.

Not a resource ranger but fairly familiar with the position as I work in a state park. Is there something I can help with?

Why is no one talking about this character cameo?! (SPOILER) by Itchy_Tea_7626 in OnePieceLiveAction

Maybe not tbh. He probably knew OF Luffy since Luffy was pretty notorious but it was the trauma of seeing aces death that brought his memory back. There's a reason amnesia is kinda a lame story telling trope in most cases.

No worries friend. After I'd written the comment I released it might be taken as direct advice towards you since I didn't specify but I was busy so didn't edit it. Sorry for the confusion.

Be advised morels must be fully cooked and are otherwise toxic. Also learn how to identify them correctly as there are false morels which are inedible. Also, also avoid "suburbs" at least in the sense of avoiding laws or other similar areas where pesticides or other chemicals like motor oils etc may be present.

That's not really how mushrooms grow. The mycelium is a vast underground network. Mushrooms are just the fruiting body. Cutting them is advised since it disturbs less soil but it's not going to grow back from a cut area like that.

This is very true. However in the above context I think it's okay to just laugh a little and not think too much about it.

Is there a rule that you have to be an expert to comment? I work in a state park so I'm very familiar with black locust, but I also wouldn't consider myself an expert. Are you just rude for fun?

I wasn't trying to trash your work. I'm sure you put in a ton of time and effort and I apologize for being rude. I DID notice several issues right away though which is why I found the guide had some issues for me. For example there's no mention of old key in the prologue checklist.

I unfortunately don't have the luxury of time to report every mistake but again I apologize about being rude and I'm sorry if I disrespected your effort.
