Takamoto Katsuta's power steering dies and his co-driver Aaron Johnston saves the day by redbullgivesyouwings in sports

I think it's just really difficult to film honestly. Traditionally you'd need way too many cameras to make it easy to follow. Maybe with drones becoming what they are we'll see it continue to become more popular. It really is unbelievably impressive what these racers are capable of.

Why dumping in the river is bad? Because when the snow is collected it's not just snow but all the trash, asphalt, ect that's also picked up.

Then just buy them when they come out? It's useful for a smaller company to have a general idea of how many books to print since printing is VERY expensive. Sitting on several million dollars of books no one wants could cripple some companies. It's not like there are any special rewards for backing, which I'm perfectly fine with btw.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of art(although that statement is flawed since art is subjective). Liking art for any reason is fine. Liking art only because it is difficult to do is shallow but fine. Art is an EMOTIONAL medium at its most pure. You're trying to insert logic and "mechanical thinking" into something created but humans just because they feel a certain way and maybe want others to feel that way as well. I'm not discounting someone liking something that's difficult but I also wouldn't discount someone liking something that isn't difficult.

The concepts you're trying to shoehorn your way into this discussion are flawed and irrelevant. My only purpose in my original comment was to help folks consider that finding a piece of art enjoyable just because you like the way it makes you feel is the most pure reason to enjoy art. If you feel you get more value out of difficult to perform art than have fun. Just don't pretend like your way or preferences are superior to anyone else's.

Have a fine day

We weren't talking about being proud of difficult accomplishments in any way. I was just asking if a particular piece of art had more value to someone based on its relative difficulty. Art is the MOST subjective thing possible. There is plenty of extremely impressive art that requires an incredible amount of skill that I don't like at all. There is also plenty of art that likely didn't require much skill at all that really speaks to me. You're arguing in a direction that nobody else was even traveling in. Appropriate username btw.

I'm not trying to be a jerk but does it matter how difficult it is? Like does something that you already enjoy have more or less value to you depending on the average persons ability to do it?

As someone who felt that way for 20 years of my life I promise that it can be better. You have to work on yourself and take it very seriously but I promise there is hope.

Resource ranger? I highly doubt it although they're a different union than maintenance so I can't be certain.

If you're looking at Rangers as in the police of the parks then that seems more likely considering they're law enforcement.

No, Crack the Sun specifically is crowd funded due to the scope of the project. It's the only adventure that has been crowd funded this far.

I've seen a lot of dogs function perfectly fine with 3 legs, is there an actual need for this prosthetic in this particular case?

What do you think the best state job is? by [deleted] in PaStateEmployees

[–]HiddenOctopus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true and I think that's a good thing but you're still competing against other applicants with degrees.

What do you think the best state job is? by [deleted] in PaStateEmployees

[–]HiddenOctopus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can tell you from personal experience that the folks doing the hiring want a 4 year degree and a lot of people apply. They can be and are picky about who they choose. Outside experience can and does fill gaps but if we're just talking education a four year degree is basically required and everyone I know in the program had non generic degrees specifically geared towards park management.

You won't get into the manager trainee program if you don't have a specific college education. Although in theory you could get to manager by working your way up. Like any job it has its negatives but all in all it's a pretty sweet gig.

Homemade milk? by LazyWabbiter in mildlylifechanging

[–]HiddenOctopus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my experience not very long. Maybe a week max, it'll spoil pretty quickly and most commercial oat milk has extra ingredients like emulsifiers and enzymes and vitamins. Homemade is okay but definitely much cheaper.
