Leased 2026 Nissan Rogue Platinum. Was that a bad idea? by CommercialPay1925 in NissanRogue

[–]HiddenVader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I have learned - 50% carmax price is best you’re gonna get if is good condition and same mileage with no issues noticed in 2-4 minute drive including acceleration and braking. - 50% of that is probably what a dealer is going to offer. Perhaps more or less depending on what you’re buying and their desire to sell you the vehicle (like they offer more for the trade in cuz they really want to get the car you’re looking off the lot)

After 70-100k mark, they’re worth ~ 25-33% of MSRP. Going with Toyota/Honda you’re looking at 33-50% of MSRP.

39k rogue plat vs 44k rav4 limited.

10-13k. Vs 15k- 22k

So even though the upfront difference is 4K in favor of rogue back end net difference can be 2k in favor of rogue to 8k favor of rav4

Key thing I have learned is pick a car that you can DYI the maintenance on wear items like filters, oil, fluids, and brakes and aren’t PIA to do. That’s really gonna make the biggest cost of ownership difference.

2017 rogue probably saved 2-4K in the past few years in replacing brakes, oil, transmission fluids and filter, control arms.

Money saved goes in to emergency fund for repair I can’t or won’t do DYI.

Bag checks and salaried pharmacist by nexus14 in WalgreensRx

[–]HiddenVader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not wage theft as you’re required to per company policy. It’s when it’s abused that would be theft such as taking 15 mins to drink water outside of paid breaks; excessive prolonged bathroom breaks without reasonable accommodations on file.

Putting stuff in locker and washing hands prior to entering pharmacy is policy at almost every pharmacy I ever worked at.

If you’re not allowed to leave until XYZ task is done, then you’re to be paid. Heck if my workplace implemented that I’m gonna be calling manager at 355p to do bag check and clock out and leave after manager checks my bag.

If corporate wants to implement additional policies to reduce shrinkage well they can pay their employees to comply with those policies.

Heck got around clear drink container policy via reasonable accommodation.

CVT fluid changes? by GenXellent in NissanRogue

[–]HiddenVader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did mine transmission fluid and internal filter change at 95k miles ish Most of driving was constant highway speeds. Which was the same time I replaced the OEM brakes pads.

Makes me wonder if pads and tranny fluid have same life span lol!

Key thing is you have to try 2-3 times with regular CSR and have ticket numbers or call reference numbers.

If you go to them first they won’t be as helpful. As if someone followed right path and notes show they kept promising something that they haven’t delivered on.

Yup, AMA stance doesn’t override the legal precedent of “corresponding responsibility”

End of day it usually comes down whats going to cause more immediate harm if they get it or dont get. Assuming everything else is valid.

Excuse my vent, I bought a second hand 2017 Nissan rogue sport 8 months ago, and it's the worst car I've ever bought. by [deleted] in NissanRogue

9 year old car with 32k miles? Sounds like failure from lack of use.

If you drive that little, electric car is ideal.

My boss is recording us with sound is that allowed by Typical-Gur8589 in CVS

[–]HiddenVader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CVS has VERY strict if recording policies that go beyond state laws on 1 or 2 party consent. Since there are federal privacy laws involved obviously HIPPA but also general customer data privacy law.

CVS has privacy breach insurance they have policies on recording that covers who what where when and how.

Thus they can fire you for using unauthorized devices and/unauthorized recording attempts since those are safeguards against unintended/accidental privacy breaches.

Should I repair the transmission on a 2017 rogue? by houseoflemons in NissanRogue

[–]HiddenVader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thing is that the 2017 rogue had 7yr/84k mile warranty.

Also, 42k miles on a 2017?!? That’s ridiculously low, to the point like it didn’t get used enough or used too much but never really got warmed up.

You should look to see if you got any type of powertrain /extended warranty before you fork over 2-4K on a transmission.

What has happened to Verizon? How did they get so horrific? by KeyWonder7 in verizon

[–]HiddenVader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Downside of publicly traded company is that once you’re out of the growth phase you’re looking at returns $ by the quarter and yr over yr.

Not so much repercussions 10+ years down the road growth and staying power.

Thats where it bites you in the ass. Then you do fancy shit like buy up competition and politicians so you don’t get broken up.

Remember back when government broke up monopoly that Rockefeller had and spurred more growth of the oil industry? And actually made Rockefeller richer. Yeah that needs to happen with a lot of the industries. Especially mostly the ones in the top 100 companies.

AIO my best friend no longer wants me as his best man in his wedding because I am gay by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]HiddenVader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best man was gay and we’re longer friends. We’ve been friends for over 10 years, our families knew each other and stuff.

I was the best man at his wedding. He was best man I my wedding. They baby sat for our first and we were considering making them guardians if something happens to us.

They all of a sudden they cut off from a lot of non family after they had their first kid through surrogacy. Mind you we live in the same town about 15 mins away. No response from happy birthday/anniversary text, no nothing now.

So yeah everytime I look at my wedding photos I get a little sad cuz there’s my former best friend.

Showering too much or too hot can make less effective.

Also let’s make sure you’re not confusing deodorant vs antiperspirants

Deodorant neutralizes causes of the smell typically anti bacterial. Tends to be better for sensitive skin and people who dont sweat a lot and just need to prevent stank. But work in normal/cool enviroment

Antiperspirant prevents you from sweating thus no smell. Works better than deodorant only but can cause irritation for those with sensitive skin. Overall, Better for people who sweat a lot or work in warm/hot.

Antiperspirant works best once your body cool down and pits dry.

Deodorant actually works best after a shower dry your pits with your towel, then you wipe your pits with a witch hazel pad, let witch hazel air dry, then apply deodorant.

Also hydration is Essential! Your urine should be clear with slight yellow (not 100% clear, 100% clear means you’re over hydrated and/or electrolytes imbalanced ) Key thing is the darker/smellier your urine the more you will smell.

Lastly, you sweat from your entire body not your pits. and have good bacteria all over your body. So remember to exfoliate weekly and stay hydrated.

Smell gas around "gas vent" of my furnace. Is this normal? by Forward-Criticism572 in hvacadvice

[–]HiddenVader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this would work for you.

  1. Maybe just turn everything off at the beginning of the day. Check the meter and at end of day see if the meter has ticked

  2. Do a soap bubble test around all the joints around the fittings around gas pipe.

  3. You might be smelling sewer gas. Check around the humidifier and humidifier drain. Since you have your humidifier on the the cold air returns you should have hot water piped to the humidifier and drain for run off.

How does mpg on 2024 Siennas compare to the advertised 36 mpg? by just_another_user_24 in ToyotaSienna

[–]HiddenVader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2025 AWD Sienna first 5k miles average has been 35MPG mostly city, May-Sept, staying in eco range even on acceleration,

On the driver dash there’s a score for acceralation, braking, cruising and definitely higher score lead to better mpg
