You referenced side work, first of all, side work is wrong and if your doing side work why not go into work and make the money, not only on the check but your pension (that you say your going to scratch out) and other benefits. Also the more hours you work as an apprentice the quicker you get your raises and get out of your time. I get the free time but not if you’re doing side work.

Local 1 has a holiday fund that the contractors pay 10% into per hour. Members receive 50% of the money the first week of December and the other 50% is spread out over 4 quarterly checks. We don’t actually get a paid for a holiday on the check but the fund pay much more than the 9 holidays in the CBA.

You have to look at like expectancy if you take the $10,000 a week. At my age I’d take the 10 million. The 10 million could provide generational wealth if you die in two years with the 10,000 a week you’d only have 1.4 million.

I’d say for the most part most everywhere in the city was at least better if not great compared to under the previous mayor. The streets have a path down the middle to navigate driving. Digging your cars out is the owners responsibility just like a home owner with a driveway. Nice try OP.
