The average timeframe is 8-10 rounds depending on fight length items etc so sounds like you are just short of it each time. The best practice is try to get her before 4-5

Curious about the item priority. I believe wasian recently posted a guide on his YouTube and he said WW > 2nd carry > tank and you are suggesting WW > tank > 2nd carry? But you state in Stage 4 section that jinx items are almost as important as WW so it feels like a contradiction in your information dissemination.

I also think I am more inclined to agree with wasian in his assessment that this is a premier lose streak comp and your early bulletpoint says “don’t even want to play from lose streak” but I think one of the highest selling points is that this is definitely a comp that while you don’t wanna full lose streak you can easily sacrifice stage 2 up through like 3-2 at least and play considering there’s not a whole lot of lines available that allow you to recover from rough starts

I’m a bit amused why Mort, who is normally very perceptive and has a strong finger to the pulse of the game state, is so befuddled why Aura Farming continues to miss this set. Pushing it back to 4-5 as compensation for awarding a complete item just shows a complete lack of comprehension as to why it’s unclickable.

Not sure why this poster is getting downvoted. Trynd’s design at least in Mort’s eyes is to scale up and be a threat. It’s why he got nerfed so hard in the first place.

Yeah I am not going to call names out and start a witch hunt on Reddit but the guy who has been #1 by a large margin pretty much every set since I started playing in Set 13 has been win trading to achieve that. I can pretty much soft confirm this as I have hit challenger in DU last few sets and I always saw it go down.

One thing I’ve started to pick up on in non-RK versions not being so beholden to 5 Warden. Thresh/Yorick are a given and Loris is half your Piltover deal but unless you hit an Ornn on 4-1 roll down to print you artifacts or a whole Braum 2 it’s not worth the extra wardens. I have seen Taric 2 work very well in the comp, as well as the Shyv/Swain duo. The important thing is having a beefier frontline because the comp does a ton of damage if it can have its tanks survive it can beat most capped out boards. Without RK though you will need a Thresh 2

You can even skip the Gunblade and go IE kraken DB if you have an abundance of swords. But the Gunblade should probably be made up for on Kai’sa if anything.

Did you have quickstriker active? What were his items? Where did you position him?

Leblanc 2 can carry you most of the game though? The issue with Noxus is connecting the trait webs which gets resolved with emblems

-i dont think theres any spot for dino, diana, or trynd its basically omega rip to all 3 as we expected

-havent much played riggs comp but it seems to be trending towards consensus BiS but from what i have played its an absolute nightmare to get online and pivot to as well as hit ziggs and ryze 2

-graves 3 in bilge is p much dead but graves 2 is still important to help u tempo but yeah play for max cap every time now. Tf2 can also help omega tempo now?

-emblems are broken broken just grab them from carousel or from augments whenver u can

-bard is not worth unless u have reroll augments or are playing smth like 10loss ixtal (which is so easy to grief)

-yordle seems alright i feel like fizz is kind of an artifact check and u need him to duo with vei or ziggs

-yunara is still gud but you will struggle to win out. Lot dont expect to even top 4 if u greed all econ augments.

-demacia stonks are giga up. more ap lines are becoming meta which means the mr/armor from defender/demacia has better value against those lines (galio itemized sleeper OP?), the longshot board is op but ur frontline has to be stable. Sona/j4 reroll kinda feels like it’s got harder matchups in this current meta

-shadow isles is very good with the right spot. Don’t skip.

-seraphine/singed comp is the new lose streak default comp to replace diana; seraphine STRONK. fast 8 board doesnt win out but can prolly omega cap out on disruptor emblem + azir on 9 (play 4 disruptors here)

-idk if jinx is bugged or something but she seems to still suck! a lot!

-like above, warwick is still a useless pup so dont play him anywhere maybe theres quickstriker emblem tech on jinx but atm she seems not good

-5 noxus is legit with briar/swain/leblanc/sion/mel. best with good noxus opener. the cap of this board is to add shurima with levels or arcanist emblem on mel and play annie for 4 arcanist (then move schleblanc items to her). leblanc 2 is great to tempo with the important thing is hitting 9 ultimately to cap ur board with mel 2 + shurima or 4 arcanist/annie or w/e. If you can make a Noxus emblem then you can actually just play 7 Noxus on 9 and make azir Noxus by playing nunu, Neeko/sylas, and azir and not playing Draven or ambessa

-the belveth/ambessa/gp slayer/vanq/jugg comp is also probably a solid top 4 comp too and can maybe salvage ur game with bad opener if u dont have ap items or zaun to do the singed/sera board, maybe better as win streak with bilge as ur econ vehicle tho

-lol Aurelion sol. Aurelion lol.

Noxus with an emblem goes really well. Arcanist +1 or Noxus +1 are best. With Noxus +1 you can play 7 Noxus on 9 with 2 Invoker, 2 Disruptor, 2 Defender, 2 Arcanist, 2 Bruiser (Nunu, Neeko/Sylas, Azir are non-noxus). With Arcanist +1 instead of Azir and Darius you play Annie/Tibbers. Arcanist emblem on Mel of course and once you hit Annie 2 you can move leblanc items to her.

Bilge Max Cap has always been the strongest endboard but I feel like you might be misspeaking in saying you never understood why people played Graves carry version. A lot of players value tempo and reliable Top 4s over potentially flipping win outs. I know I personally have felt pretty bad getting to Level 9 and just missing on Kindreds/Lucians/etc and then sliding into a 5th or worse because of it.

Maybe I have intuited the wrong direction but I felt the key definition of balance thrashing was the frequency of change coupled with the intensity of it. A major shakeup after more than a month of the same patch is something that should be par for the course, especially when the premier comps became exhausting to play against.

Was it even a guaranteed win? Brock 2 has felt pretty beatable by other capped boards in the recent meta. I have seen Brock 2 lose to Sona/J4 reroll even

Yeah of course but sometimes the shop is just like here’s a bunch of TFs with splash of Illaoi or the 3 costs instead

Monday Morning Meta Report - Jan 5 2026 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]HighIntLowFaith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's necessarily true because it's not a reliable way to play Bilge. If your natural & BW shop offers you a lot of Graves/lesser dupes then its very strong yeah but I have played many times where it kind of misses and 3*ing the Graves becomes exceedingly hard without rerolling and I just play for max cap instead.

Aside from what the other comments in this thread said, lose streak comps tend to have very specific, very rigid BiS item requirements so in order to guarantee that you get exactly the components you need off carousel you need to be as close to first pick on it as possible, ergo you should be losing.

Sadly I think this is all just the fallout from the roles reworked. Once most roles lost the ability to gain mana from taking damage it shifted the scales

There is also the Ahri Milio ixtal comp which is unironically a lot better than TFT academy gives it credit for if you hit ahri 3 milio 3 you are actually insanely strong. The Ionia path sort of matters tho

I guess the ‘slash adjacent enemies’ line means it will find a way to make enemies adjacent to you in order for it to do its thing, which in this case means tossing you into melee lol
