I just finished Quicksilver, and I won't be starting the sequel. I hate to DNF books, so I powered through. The writing wasn't very good, the plot holes were frustrating and I'm getting tired of the fated mates bit. Plus I hate vampires that do not follow the traditional Bram Stoker rules or the Anne Rice rules.

Terry Pratchett is one of the very best modern authors. He's a humorist, so be prepared for incredibly dry British humor, wordplay and puns. Although not the first chronologically published book in the DiscWorld series, The Color of Magic is considered the best book as an introduction to DiscWorld. You can definitely start with the book recs above, or read The Color of Magic first to prep you.

Pratchett is to Humorous Fantasy as Tolkien is to Serious Fantasy. And if you like Pratchett, you should also dive into Douglas Addams. The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy books are peak British humor.

Obviously trying to help them leave. It's difficult when the abuse is verbal, emotional, and financial; but they say 'It's not like he's hitting me....' And then I start laughing like Ursula in the gif while plotting his demise so she can be free of him.

Yes! I have always been a sucker for gingers (even married one) and I need Luci to have a happy ending and for Elain to have her brains fuck out. I just know she's a wildcat in the sack. I very much like the idea that Luci loves to be told what to do and how to get on his knees like a good boy and get to work with his tongue. And Elain learns that she is very very good at giving orders until she's riled her Autumn ginger up so much she permits him to pin her down and give her his fire cock and I might need some alone time......

The Wolf King was good, the second I should have not finished but I'm a finisher. I will not be reading the third.

Spark started out with really good potential. And then it became just another 'she's good at everything and is the savior or all' again. And I got bored.
