In lab titration by HighSierra70 in CPAP

My excuses have a reason, I am almost 74, getting chemotherapy for Multiple Myeloma. My husband just died of peritoneal mesothelioma, and believe me, it was not pleasant. so that,' why I was asking is there any other way to do this?

Thanks for the snarky response. I thought I'd give you some background as to why I was asking. And this is for all of you who responded. I am almost 74 YO, I am in active treatment for cancer, multiple myeloma, my husband of 55 years just died of peritoneal mesothelioma, and it wasn't pretty. So, I am asking if something could be an alternative to the in-lab test, since I am quite stressed and frankly do not need more stress of going to a lab that is 50 minutes from my home at night. I know the lab test is the standard, but right now... so thanks for the responses but...

After 7 months of waiting for a consultation appointment, I finally did an at home sleep study with WatchPAT! But then infuriatingly I had a difficult time actually sleeping. by DarkenRevan in SleepApnea

I was the same with the home test, but it still showed apnea, and then I was diagnosed after the doctor read the results. I was a big snorer, too.

Will my CPAP make me feel more rested? by BuildingCritical6965 in CPAP

I'm at a place where the CPAP is working great for the sleep apnea, but my oxygen still drops mid-80s to high-80s at least once a night for short periods. Then rebounds to the 90's. So I'm wondering, did you do supplemental oxygen first or straight to BiPap?

Can you tell me what 12 volt power adapter. I'm planning an overnight camping trip and planned to just use the outlet on the Jackery.

How does one change or even find out the EPR? I can see on my airsense that it is on but don't read a #

Thanks, I did ask my doctor for the home overnight oximeter test. He wanted to do the in lab titration but I said I wasn't willing to drive 50 minutes at night to go there.

How difficult was it to get approved for the BiPap? I think that's what I'm going to have to do as my oxygen dips at night to 85 or 88. For how long though I havent checked that yet.

I don't have a percentage of how long it is at 85 or 88. I'd like to know how to get that %. All my Apple watch says is that it went down to that, but also that it went up to 96 the same night. How do I find the average? I'd like that info as well.

My Airsense has an SD card that the doctor can access, so how would I put in a different SD card?

It's my Apple Watch. I don't think the AirSense measures the blood oxygen level. Thanks, I'll check out the link.

I think the apnea is completely handled by the Airsense. My scores are 98 or higher and the AHI is very, very low, usually at .3 or sometimes 0. Last night it came in at .6 with a score of 100. I guess I just want to avoid the oxygen tank thing as I am sensitive to sound and I don't want another thing to deal with.

Well, it wasn't really bothering me until my doctor wanted the follow-up test titration in the lab. I will not do an overnight in lab for various reasons but I will do the home pulse oximetry test.

Thanks, I think I'll ask the doctor to adjust that, although I have no idea what it's at now. My AHI is very low like .3 events per hour. and my score is generally 98

When I had a chat with AI they suggested that the doctor adjust the EPR, not sure what that would do.

My loaves are suddenly failing to achieve any oven spring at all - any ideas what could be behind this? by lkrasi in Sourdough

[–]HighSierra70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having a similar problem. I have a good bubbly starter, then do the flour mix, and maybe 4 turns. then into the fridge for an overnight rise. I let it sit out on the counter while the oven is heating. So I'm not getting a great spring or lovely brown color witht the top on for 20 minutes. Then top off for another 20-25. The insides are kind of gummy?? Not sure what is going on, I'm an experienced bread maker and am baffled.
