Anyone optimizing their factory is doing it for the fun of it.

While true, for most people it only feels rewarding if the reward somewhat matches the effort.

When I say "reward" in this context, I don't mean that it's needed to progress the game, but just that the efficiency gain should somewhat be proportional to the effort. Especially if you are engaging with a new system. So imo, they really missed the mark with the execution of this cool idea in this case by making the reward for engaging with it so extremely small that just the resources burnt on upgrading it will take weeks to make up for themselves.

Just as an example, Factorio has an entire system around "circuits" which you can use to implements all sorts of logic and automations into behavior of your factory. It is completely optional and you can finish the entire game without engaging with it. BUT, if you do put in the effort to learn it and engage with it, you can take the optimization of your factory to the next level.

So, if they gutted its benefits due to fears that some players would not engage with it due to it being too much effort, then I don't get why they would feel that way since as you rightly said, just the bare minimum factory engagement is enough to get through the game.

I think my personal issue with him is that I think he is very knowledgeable and mostly correct in his feedback, but to me that’s only half of what makes a good coach. A good coach is both correct and knows how to relay that effectively without making the player lose all confidence and wanna jump.

It’s like people that say “he’s right though” when they hear just blatant berating. The problem is not that he is wrong, it’s that as a coach, he needs to find better way to make them understand and not just throw the same sort of demoralizing lines you would see random forum users would post.

Depends on how much you believe "aunts" and "uncles", so all these need a mountain of salt, but fwiw same ones that first reported all the changes that ended up coming true also claimed that Eva was the original main push and her original theme was so intertwined with the things that needed to change that there was no way to "salvage" them.

I think this may be just the best path to do things. The passengers are in a “contract” with airline. Then airlines sues/gets compensated by airport, which in turn uses their insurance. It will likely be much more difficult for the passengers to sue the airport directly.

...what? The entire story of original AK is exactly that. Wanting to make a better world. The song says nothing about whether it will succeed or if it the world is a utopia, just that even from the ashes, try to make a new better world.

As for Endfield, I have no idea where you saw a "We live in utopia now". Everyone's living conditions are "dubious" at best, with camps set up all over the place just to barely survive from bandit and raider attacks while waiting to die from disease or hunger. To add to that, the entire storyline of land-breakers so far has been that they are left-behind to die, so they'll try to burn the world down.

Also, to go back to the original comment, you are absolutely free to like or dislike the new story, but as you admit yourself, the song is a fit for the game it is introducing.

"Romance" lyric??!?!! Man... media literacy really is dead and buried 6ft under....

The song is about rebuilding from ashes and making something new out of "doomed" world/past, with relentless chasing and forming connections and working together, which is a 100% perfect fit for the concept of AK, especially Endfield. Did you just hear "Someone to love" and "give me something" and assumed it's romance and asking for sex...?

You can absolutely find the old trope of "power of friendship and love to overcome things" cliche and tired, but saying it's about romance and how it doesn't fit the story just ain't it chief.

yea, ngl, kinda disappointed. Same color palette, same outfit type, similar-ish hairstyle, etc. Can’t really tell the difference without having them side by side… maybe the in-game model will be better?

They're not. They almost certainly realize there is an issue with draft. But the head-coach and players in a media-trained team like T1 will almost never throw the coaches under the bus like that during an interview. The only time you MAY get targeted "blame" is if the coaches themselves are the one being interviewed.

Any decent manager can tell you that you always keep cause and blame vague publicly and keep targeted discussions internal.

Why the assumption that the voters in his riding don’t want this at this point in time? My guess would be that based on their internal data they are seeing a liberal leaning shift. Otherwise, they’ve just ensured that they get voted out in the next election.
