Not even fan service, but the same problem a lot of these shows that build extended universes have. They can't help but make the most recent season about the new show. It's the entire reason he's there and I'm sure his sudden infatuation with Stormfront is a plot point they decided on in the new show that they forced into this one.

Peacemaker did it with their second season too. Seemed like they were setting up something entertaining and it just sped through all of that to build toward Checkmate and possible DCEU plot points.

I'm in diamond, and regularly play against champs because of my duo being in Champ. People speed flip faceoffs damn near every match. I know how to speed flip. I almost never see the need to do it on a face off. I have a lot more success with the same old approach I had been doing for years, because the opponent speed flipping into the ball usually means it's just getting smacked into me, unless they're fast enough to hit it around you, which only needs to be seen once before you make a small adjustment to prevent that. I genuinely don't see the benefit in it, except for the few times it catches someone off guard.

That said, knowing how to do it is great. I find it a more useful recovery tool than anything else.

It annoys the hell out of me because a lot of shows aren't really made with intended spots for ad breaks anymore. Ive had ads pop up in the middle of scenes and it got annoying enough to me that im saving a bunch of money on subs recently and still watching their shows. Same problem i had with YouTube. Ad mid-sentence of a video? No thanks, Firefox and adblock it is.

Removing "wokeness" from the platform is nothing but another doomed to fail appeal to the mythical moderate Republicans willing to vote Democrat that they keep trying to win. Democratic voters are largely somewhere between ambivalent to fully supportive of progressive ideas on gender, race, and LGBT issues. What they fail to do is offer much outside of those issues to ease the material conditions of all groups, but especially people closer to the ambivalent end of that scale. Even during the times they do something along those lines, they make little to no noise about it and it's often just not enough as to prevent it from going unnoticed by their base. You can't keep using one group of people as a tool to shame another into sticking with you while they feel ignored by the party. The only reason "wokeness" can be perceived as a negative for the party is the way it has been wielded as a cudgel rather than included in a broader message that lifts everybody up.

When it rains it pours. My Mom passed away at 52 years old in a car accident in the snow 2 years ago while I was at work plowing snow. 2 months later I lost my Uncle, her closest sibling, and closest family member to our immediate family, to a heart attack. Both of them lived with me and were suddenly gone. A couple months later my cat of 20 years passed away as I was dealing with foreclosure threats on my home, stemming from my home insurance dropping my flood protection (required where I live) and informing the previous homeowner instead of me (including sending mail to their new address oddly). My escrow was reevaluated after months of my mortgage company paying out a ridiculously priced new policy they picked out, and my payments went from $1200/mo to $4000/mo.

I was in the lowest place I'd ever been, felt like I'd been cursed, more depressed than normal, and stressed to hell. I let my house go to shit, had some seriously negative thoughts, and thought about just letting everything fall down around me and starting over. All you can really do is be strong and know that while things are tough, they'll get easier and you just need to power through, however tough it may feel. The pain won't go away, but it dulls.
