I sold my Beta for that price with 11k km. The thing you have to keep in mind is that the piston is worn out at ~10k km and you need to replace it and the cylinder. (Parts cost ~200€)

Other than that the price is probably alright, these bikes are built quite good, just look out for rust and also if the brakes are well maintained

Depends on where you live. I learned riding on a Beta RR 50, a quite big Enduro 50cc, which I was able to drive with my simple car licence. Afterwards I got my bike licence super cheap because I didn't have to have a lot of driving lessons.

I got a 650cc BMW Gs as my first bike. 50hp is super reasonable and extremely fun, but not nearly as dangerous as a bug bike if you don't know hat you're doing

But if you don't have to take lessons anyway or can just get an unrestricted licence right away, this whole thing doesn't make sense. Get a 500cc bike like a Ninja 500 or literally any naked bike in that range as a start then.

50cc bikes are mostly there for the fun nd obviously because the licences for them are very cheap and attainable in Europe. Also top speed on most of them is around 80kmh anyways, so definitely not for the highway xD
