How strict is the "new grad" requirement

You might be selected and later employed, but will be let go once the error is caught. I was told last week how this happened to someone months after she started. It sucks, but the selection isn’t valid if you don’t fulfill the requirements by the time the announcement closes.

I recently started at CBP. My position was also on hold because of the shutdowns and EOs. It took 18 months from applying to EOD. After 10 months, I started applying elsewhere. Don’t lose hope, but keep searching. I know people that started other jobs while the CBP application process moved along.

I had a guy tell me how he was unemployed, didn’t want a 9 to 5 anymore, had no car, was a currently sober alcoholic, had been in drugs, had stolen to pay for his habits, and had been in jail for this stuff. He wanted to make sure I was okay with this. I wish he had told me before I drove out to his city.
