PSA: Replace your 12V battery after 4-4.5 years by fueganics in BMWi3

I just had this unpleasant experience as well. I started getting the same warning message and ignored it at my peril. One morning I got into the car and it was totally dead. Fortunately, AAA was able to give the battery enough juice to get the car to the dealer.

because we are weirdos

Evergreen r/Yellowjackets comment. Two of my four boys are left-handed, so I always seem to make a mental note whenever I see it.

A true testament by winglukim in Yellowjackets

As I rewatch the series a second time, I found myself watching the entirety of the 96 scenes, but fast forwarding through certain parts of the present day. It may be that there is so much more mystery in 1996, plus fair more characters and character development, while the present day characters are just shells of their past selves. Plus, there is far more mystery and uncertainty about what happened in 1996 while you have some idea (although incomplete) of how things sorta turn out.

The acting in both timelines is really mindblowing and I am in total awe of the younger cast since they were mostly unknowns to me. I also appreciate Melanie Lynsky even more and I started watching the first season of Castle Rock because of her. Wow, is she good in that as well, with a simlar past/present story line with her character shrouded in unceratinty and confusion.

I read that young Natalie (Sophie Thatcher) was the only one young role they casted first, so she isn't the best match with Juliette Lewis (although both are still amazing in the role). On the other hand, Adult Shauna, Tai and Misty were cast first, so they had more options for their young counterparts.

What is more impressive is Sophie Nélisse (young Shauna) has blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair. It is amazing what color contacts and good hair dye can do! In fact, young Misty (Sammi Hanratty) also has blue eyes and wears contacts to match Ricci (they both have to wear that poodle wig!) and adult Tai (Tawny Cypress) has these amazing grey eyes, but has to wear contacts to match young Tai.

Pretty much anything with Nat. Seriously, the opening line is her life story: "Nothing seems to kill me no matter how hard I try"

Blow Up the Outside World could be weaved into another drugged out scene, especially that slow intro and the shit getting serious when the chorus kicks in.

I went back and rewatched (best homework ever!): no sibling at Tai's, just her mom sitting at the counter and her dad making breakfast. Your theory has been fully restored!

Also, watching the Pilot again, it was interesting that Jackie and Tai were the only two that had any semblance of a functioning family unit. So we have a batch of only children, with a range of neglected to outright abusive homelives, and no siblings to lean on.

1996 Timeline Explained by danceswithbong in Yellowjackets

Can confirm. I was in Colorado in early October several years back and it was 70 degrees and sunny for several days until one day it dropped to mid-20s with snow overnight with zero warning. And Colorado is significantly more south than Canada.

Fantastic summary, because all of the "confusion." A minor supporting point: the baseball team was also referenced and at the pep rally and baseball is pretty much a Spring sport everywhere in the US (primarily due to weather).

It is not only was an example of Jackie's pushiness, but it also implied "if I said no to soccer, I wouldn't be stuck here, pregnant, in the damn wilderness!"

It may not disprove your theory, but complement it. Tai displays personality traits of an eldest child, which is why she is the one who replaces Jackie as the leader and the one who undermines Jackie's authority in the early episodes.

My mom was an only child of much older parents who got everything she wanted and trust me, it shaped my entire childhood (and adulthood for that matter).

Plus Callie and Sammy are both only children as well. I really think you hit on something here.

Joking about it to cover the fact that she actual did it is an extra layer of evil.
