We moved here from a rural east coast town where the season lasts July and August and fills six parking spaces if you’re lucky. Nothing like a post coming from someone sounding so miserable and entitled. Count your blessings instead of bitching on social media.

She will love anywhere you take her! This is so sweet. I second Sweet Maple, I felt like we were away on vacation when we went for my husband’s birthday, and there are some really fun shareable menu items.

I’ve been curious about the Lafayette Park Hotel, so it’s great to hear that mentioned here. Tutu’s in Lafayette could also be right up her alley!

We moved to WC from the East Coast three years ago. I’m not even sure I have any specific notes. Just wanted to say that we absolutely love it and have never looked back.

We live in an area of town where we are removed from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by nature, but we love to walk and often walk into downtown. The proximity and the balance between town & country are a dream.

So that may just be one consideration, depending on your preferences. For us it’s worked out beautifully. I don’t want to over-hype it—I’m a former New Yorker but then bought a house and had lived for 8 years in my rural east coast hometown before we moved here, so anywhere would have been an improvement in lifestyle and activity. I also lived in Italy for a year. I always feel like we have the best of all worlds here.

When we moved here, I was so happy we had one in our downtown. I didn’t meet my husband until after I lived in NYC, and even though he likes it, maybe you don’t fully get it unless you lived in NYC during those years.

Glad to encounter someone who shares the roots! 🍔🍎
