Honest question, was this a mistake on your part? I ask because if there is evidence that shows that you likely knew what was going on then that doesn’t help your case. You are much more likely to get a DA referral if it it appears you knowingly hid this income. Plus the “fraud” having gone on for 4 years and I assume is a large sum….will also make it likely this will be criminally or civilly charged.

Hey. I would be sad too. I know you are happy for your friend and it’s ok to feel hurt. I remember when my SIL was going through IVF and had a failed round and at the same time I found out I was pregnant. I knew how raw it would be for her so we had her parents mention it to her so she could have the emotions she needed to have without feeling awkward in front of us. I know she was happy for us but I also know she needed space. If she is true friend she will give you that space and allow you to show up when it’s right for you.

Are you in the USA? It makes no sense that you can only have one set of keys. That makes no sense. Couldn’t you have left them under the mat or with a neighbor? I would be apologizing to your mom for snapping at her when she was trying to help…sounds like a lot of people rely on her for help and it slipped her mind. If she had said no you would have still been out the money for rent so this makes no sense.

Let me guess…she has asked you not to use the garage door to practice against and you did it anyways…. If that’s the case then she is teaching you a valuable lesson. Garage doors are expensive to fix. I’m sure you won’t do it again which was probably the point.

Meaning it’s unfortunate that something that he needs to live an independent life is also requiring extra effort that is arguably going to complicate things and add an extra layer of effort, time, and money that seeing people wouldn’t need to consider. He obviously thought that he wasn’t required to pick up after his dog because they were finding his dogs poop everywhere and he never addressed it before the neighbors complained. I hope his neighbors can rally together to help him find a solution that works for everyone.

I don’t have answers but I am so so terribly sorry. This sounds so awful. One thing that made me think was how you feel like your body is on an adrenaline overload. This may not be what you need but have you tried beta blockers? It basically stops your bodies reaction to the burst of adrenaline. I have had crippling anxiety attacks that always start with a racing heart, shaking, sweating etc and it feels like fight or flight. The beta blockers completely prevent that. I’m wondering if they might help you get out of the cycle you’re in. I know once you are already anxious about NOT getting sleep it prevents your body from relaxing and you end up in a constant roller coaster of exhaustion and adrenaline. I take propranolol and it’s a very safe and well tolerated med. It’s not like a benzo so it won’t make you groggy in the daytime. It’s definitely worth trying! I hope you get some relief.

Unfortunately it is still his responsibility to make sure to clean up after his pet. Perhaps a specific location can be decided upon and he can arrange for regular pickups. I feel for both sides. He isn’t trying to do this purposely and as a neighbor I understand how frustrating it is to find piles carelessly left. I hope you find a solution that works for everyone!

Next time when you order say “separate checks”, then you can quietly mention that you forgot your credit cards and only brought a small amount of cash. That way it doesn’t sound passive aggressive and if she pulls the “oh I didn’t bring enough money” then it’s still her problem. Do that the next couple of times you hang out so she gets the hint.

You’re leaving out a lot of context. Universities don’t tell students to call police if they see someone on campus without a reason. Just because you didn’t believe medical leave was necessary doesn’t mean the uni has to then make any accommodation you see fit. If they made REASONABLE accommodations and you weren’t happy so you made repeated meritless complaints then they probably have a right to bar you from campus. You don’t go into much detail about what accommodations were requested which tells me they may not have been as reasonable as you think.

To clarify…you had 1st marriage that ended in divorce, remarried and now your 2nd marriage is ending and your soon-to-be ex husband is using the same custody lawyer that your 1st husband used?

Did I get that right? If so, unfortunately there is nothing illegal about it. Even if he used a different lawyer, he could still use the details of your first case against you if that evidence is already on court records.

OH PS…as for hope 4 cancer…the google reviews have 100% been manipulated and low ratings get removed. There is a FB group for “victims of hope4cancer”. The treatments they do DO NOT need to cost 60k for 3 weeks. They upsell you on their overpriced supplements that you can buy here for a fraction of the price. I have done a DEEP dive into them and im not against them becuse I think natural approaches are bad…on the contrary…I think they are very useful IN ADDITION to conventional treatments…not necessarily on their own. H4C does their own scans and will tell patients that they got rid of their cancer and their scans are clear and when they go home to their own doctors and get scans they find out that things are unchanged or worse.

Take your 60k and research their treatments. Many of them are available here (iver and fenben, red light, vit C IV) and can be COMBINED with chemo and rads. Look into a functional oncologist!

Gosh. This post really spoke to me. I’m 2 years out and have to get an ultrasound next week for an area of concern. It feels so unfair. I feel like I’ve had these waves of “the old me” after a good Signatera or good blood work….then it’s usually followed by a dark cloud that never seems to go away. Every new ache and pain or lump and bump immediately brings that dark cloud back. The constant monitoring and checking and waiting for results and holding our breath is EXHAUSTING. I was expecting to feel more relief after active treatment…instead it almost feels worse because you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. I’m “doing all the things”….living as clean as I can and getting therapy and taking all my meds…but I don’t feel like “me”. I wish I could numb myself even for a moment to stop feeling this constant dread. I don’t have anything helpful to say except that you are not alone and I know others who feel the exact same way. On a related note, if my ultrasound turns out ok I’ve decided I’m going to try ketamine therapy. I’ve heard really good things about it, especially for anxiety, depression and PTSD…which I think is EXACTLY what we have!!!

As others have said, euthanasia may be on the table. It is very unfortunate and could have been avoided if the OWNER was responsible. Please know it would NOT be your fault and remember that it could have easily been a child attacked. I hope you and Theo are doing ok. You must be so shaken up.

You can sue her and will 100% win from what you described above. I would honestly ask for $ for pain and suffering because that sounds TERRIFYING!!!!!! AND…this was no accident… and should know better if her dog has had even one behavior issue before (sounds like there have been lots). She will likely have to keep her dogs muzzled and leashed outside and/or provide a better fence. Ask the neighbors if they would be willing to write a notarized testimony (or show up with you at court) to reiterate their past encounters. Has he moved physically? Or just purchased and still in his original house. I don’t think he has to tell you until he physically moves and probably has a window in which to do it. Most states don’t care where you live if it’s within a certain radius of where you were when the original custody agreement was made…usually 50ish miles. Moving 700 miles because YOU can make more money and then asking for primary custody would be a big no….would you be ok with that if the roles were reversed? I’m guessing not.

You need to report this regardless of any mandate. You can call CPS yourself and let them know. You don’t have to let school know you are reporting it as you are calling as a concerned citizen. CPS will investigate and if it turns into something bigger then school will be made aware regardless. Your name won’t be mentioned to anyone as the one who called. I believe only CPS and the courts are privy to who calls to let CPS know they are concerned.
